Bobcats fans have it the hardest

Post#1 » by Dexmor » Tue Jan 13, 2009 7:16 pm

There is no other team in the league that gives it fans more grief then the Bobcats. We have it the hardest without a doubt and here's why.

1.Only team with no star. Part of being a fan is to love your teams star, we don't have that guy who you can just love and be the mayor of the city.

2.All of our best players are inconsistant- Mek-I think he is just insecure, he airballed a 8 foot jumper in the 4th and a free throw in the 4th and never demands for it. Felton goes 2-11 one night and 9-17 the next. Even Boris is well known for being inconsistant. Gerald I will get to.

3.Our closest thing to a guy everybody loves and possibly most consistant player is always trying to be traded so you can't even let yourself get to attached because his time here is probably limited. (Crash)

4.Like #3 it's hard to really let yourself like any of the players past a certain point because there all being shopped except maybe DJ and how long is that gonna last. They wonder why the Jersey sales are so low, maybe if they got a star who is untradable or close enough people would show up to the games and buy some jerseys.

5.They don't televise the games more then 4x a month. That is just a smack in the face considering it's the time warner arena.

6.They have killed us in the draft. Who knows how good we could have been had we drafted right or how many years it set us back. Just thinking of the players we could of had has got to make you sick.

7.Now this one only applies to me because for some reason you guys hate RJ. MJ turned down a Wallace for RJ deal. We were trying to give him to the kings for Miller and maybe the wolves for mccants and collins? Yet we turn down RJ? A guy who proved when he has his own team he is over a 20 point a game scorer, brings winning expierence and plays on both ends. He is gonna get those Bucks into the playoffs you see.

8.Our free agent decisions Matt Carroll and Nazi are guys you pay 2 million dollars a year each to. There not much better then guys you can pick up from the Dleague. We have a cap of 60 million with no allstars. So sad.

9.Our head coach is our biggest name and closest thing to a star but he is well known for working at a place for a couple years and leaving. Not even stability there.

Dexmor you are just a fanboi. This is a team sport. Go read some random tabloid if you need stars to make your life better.

you forgot

1. empty arena
2. apathetic fan base
3. horrible front office/scouting
4. virtually no marketing dept

those are 4 of the 5 biggest reasons why its tough to be a bobcats fan. but #1 is the fact that we have, without a doubt, the worst tv coverage of any nba team in the league.

all of the on court issues, i can deal with. those are partically cyclical and partially a result of being an expansion team. and our team's record is only a symptom of #3.

Those problems listed above are nothing compared to being a Clippers fan. Take away their playoff appearance a few years ago, and they have been the laughing stock of the NBA for years.

I think people on message boards look to be a dikk anyway they can be.

Yeah Clippers fans do have it bad but with the Bobcats there is not another team in Charlotte. It's them or nothing.

Thats why I said Clippers fans, and not Lakers/ Clippers fans. There are people in LA who dont even like or watch the Lakers who love the Clippers ( Billy Crystal being the most famous one )
