Bobcats will develop from within?

Charlotte coach Larry Brown discussed the possibility of swinging a trade before next month's deadline on Friday night, but it appears as though they will focus on developing the players that they have.
Brown revealed that managing partner Michael Jordan "wants to be active and wants to make us better" before adding, "but he keeps telling me the most important thing is we've got to improve the guys we have."
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=290123030So does this mean we won't make a trade or more importantly trade our best player in Crash and our best future player in Felton? I really hope so. I know if they do make the playoffs they have 0 picks but who cares there's always the midlevel and there is always trading May's expiring contract for something.
If they are only developing they might have the win now attitude which means Bell can stay espially if they keep Felton because even though Bell can't create they would need him to as much with 2 pg's who can create and they can play them together. With Bells age and DJ's size playing all 3 32 minutes a game works anyway. If they don't trade Gerald that would be great because whatever trade it would be would be bad unless maybe they got Howard and he stopped smoking weed.
These players will develop. LB is the perfect coach for all of them. Players always get beter under Larry just like Billups and even RIp was getting alot of boards and assists with LB.
Playing with LB for a full year will probably mean next year Mek could average 18 points, Felton wil be consistant and average 17 8 and 5. Gerald Wallace's shot will be much improved and Boris will play alot more consistantly. Plus guys like Sean and Lex will play well after a year of LB school. Maybe even Diop will do well. I doubt AMmo improves though.
Unless were going a star in return I don't think we should make a trade. Were playing great and have a very good team. Maybe if we can we get a better young backup sg who has potential and replace him with Shannon Brown,
If it looks like were not gonna be in the lotto that will do wonders for our fanbase but I think we should trade for a pick just in case. We don't even have a second round pick.

dj, lexi, sean and shannon all need some time in the second half to develop. i dont want them to be burried on the bench behind vets. well, maybe get a 3rd pg so sean doesnt play. we cant afford to have him playing important minutes at pg if we are in a playoff push, especially with dj banged up.
as for ammo and may, whatever.... trade em.

I hope we are done trading, at least when it comes to major trades. I don't really want to see Wallace go. I don't know what is going on behind the scenes, but he's always been a fighter, and he's shown he is one of the few players we have remaining that can take their game to another level. We need him.

I can only imagine that any plans to blow up the team are on hold now with how we are playing...
The only thing that really qualifies as a "hole" in our roster is bench scoring (maybe just the bench) and DJ might take care of that very soon. I wouldn't mind trading May/Nazr for a perimeter scorer that is getting paid too much.
How about May/Nazr for Maggette? Probably too much, I don't think Maggette fits, and we wouldn't be able to sign any FA's until 2050 or so.

I wouldn't mind little trades that bolster our bench. We still do have that open roster spot.....
And I imagine they have to be looking at getting rid of Mohammed. There's just too much money tied up between him and now Diop.
I guess there's always the slim (no pun intended) hope that May comes back and becomes a contributor at some point.
The problem is our wing positions. Too bad Morrison can't help that. I guess we can always cover our lack of depth by playing a 3-guard rotation of Felton/Bell/Augustin, and a 3-forward rotation of Diaw/Wallace/(Okafor playing PF alongside Diop or Mohammed).

Well I just meant I hope they weren't gonna be trading Felton and Wallace and Bell and Diaw or even Mek.
I didn't mean they shouldn't trade May and Morrison and if they can get anything for Brown I would trade him to but at the same time I don't mind keeping him as an Eddie House type of player for us.
I do think they need a scoring 2/3 to surely make the playoffs and a premier scorer to be contenders.
I think McCants is perfect for us because he is a sg who is getting to playing time, he plays very well with Felton and has star potential or close. Can be a really good scorer for us and backup Bell for now and be our future sg. He and Felton can be our future backcourt which would be awesome.
They should take Wallace, Mek, DJ, Felton, Diaw, Bell off the block if there on and try and do what they can with the rest.

Yet you just suggested trading Wallace AND DJ for Jefferson?

We won't be able to move Nazi unless he's packaged as a poison pill necessary to aquire a GOOD player. This is supposedly the issue related to dealing Felton to Dallas (the requirement Nazi be included in the deal). NOBODY is going to deal anything of value for this guy and his contract. We might be able to trade McMay as an expiring. I highly doubt anyone would give us anything for Morrison...seriously...I'd bet we couldn't even get a high 2nd round pick for him.
The last deal this season (if any) will be Felton. Wallace is growing cement around his name as central to our CORE (with Okafor, Diaw, DJ). Heck, Felton might even join that if he continues improving.

Even Mek? The Bobcats have made it clear Mek is untouchable.

Actually I read rumors saying nobdoy on the Bobcats is untouchable.
When did I say we should trade DJ and Crash for RJ.
I am saying we should not trade these guys
Mek
Diaw
Crash
Bell
Felton
DJ
Diop
Lexi-only because Diaw is happy with the french connection which is why DIop is on the list also.
Howard-They should actually try and get him to play another year. Even give him 2.5 million if they have to.
Brown-unless he would be a throw in or somebody wanted him for a pick or something.
Sean Signletary-Again only because he has no value but could develop into a good player.
I would love it if they could trade May,Nazi, Morrison and if there are any players I can't think of.

Maybe you shouldn't post quite so much if you can't keep track of some of the ridiculous things you type over the course of less than 24 hours?

Supposedly we (LB) insisted on Singletary in the trade, LB praises Nazr for his vet leadership, S. Brown is Jordan's project and they've been hot after Diop since this past summer. You know they wanted Howard plus he's on a vet min and is very unlikely to be traded.
That only leaves Ammo & May. Could that net us a wing? Maybe if he's on a stupid contract...but with that extra roster spot maybe we could get involved in a 3 way before the deadline?
In regards to the starters I think we'll stand pat unless the wheels come off the bus. I just hope like everything someone isn't willing to give us an expiring for Crash...because I'm just not sure at all that we wouldn't take it.

I agree, now that we've traded J-Rich and have Boris I don't think you can trade Wallace. What are we going to replace him with if we do? I guess we could get a really good SG and move Raja to SF, but that would be a big risk unless the SG was obviously better than Wallace.

I don't think we're gonna be able to get anything for Ammo and May. They basically have no value at this point, so we might as well just let their contracts expire and gain that benefit.

I don't want to trade Juwan Howard unless a team really wanted him from for his vet leadership. I do believe it would be nice if we can get a McCants for our 2 2nd round picks and May but I agree the only ones who must go are AMMO and May.
Nazi I would put there no matter what LB says but he's untradable with that contract.

You might be right. I should have a better memory. Sorry. I would like to think that I say stupid things once in a while and not all the time. DJ and Wallace for RJ was one of them but in my defense RJ is my 2nd favorite player and he is a creator that we need but it was stupid.
I think the board needs alot of people who post alot and fans so I hope me being here and posting alot doesn't bother you.
I find on boards people either love me or hate me. Here's hoping you don't hate me.
I don't think a RJ and Sessions for Wallace and DJ would be bad.
