Cartier Martin has joined the Charlotte Bobcats on a 10-day contract, Energy general manager Chris Makris said Wednesday.
Martin, who scored 31 points in Tuesday's 91-78 win over Tulsa, is the third player to be promoted to the NBA from Iowa in the past nine days.

Personally I would have liked to take a look at the Arizona Marcus Williams on a 10 day.

I can't tell you 1 thing. He is better then Adam Morrison.
I have never seen him play but as long as he is awake he is better then Ammo. Will probably never play unless foul trouble.
Im betting he is athletic.

I like this experimenting with players ala Dwanye Jones, Andre Brown etc. It's better than leaving the roster spot open. If he can play, we get a player for free. If not, nothing lost.

Bigslam once again you are absolutely correct. Marcus Williams is a guy who is out there who has potential to be a way above average starter. He is also 6'3 so he can play in the backcourt with DJ or Ray and them not be small and let Ray and DJ play off the ball.
That is how they can make up for scoring. Marcus Williams should be signed even if Wallace came back tonight. They should have him to as a backup combo guard.
He can let Bell play the 3 so it makes up for it.
2 players they should try to aquire
1.Gerald Green-Even more athletic then Wallace and if you look up potential in the dictionary you see Gerald Green. We need to beat the bushes.
2.Marcus Williams-I already said why
We should try and get both,

Williams is really 6'7 so he would be an even better option. But don't expect much from these D-league guys, there's a reason they're not in the NBA.

Looks like a good free throw shooter and obviously we can't have enough of those. Played some 50+ minutes gamesin NBDL already, so his stamina could be good too. I expect Good Sean amount of minutes at best until he would get enough practices with the team to get it. At least we got a somewhat athletic bench player for 2 and 3 nexto Morrison until Crash will be OK.

Cartier was an NBA prospect for his entire college career, but never showed enough improvement to be a swingman lucky enough to get drafted after his senior season.
Where as Arizona Marcus Williams has tremendous upside and athleticism, Martin is a known commodity. Homeless man's Gerald Wallace?

LB really has very particular taste in players, I don't think Martin was high on most peoples list to come out of the D-League.

Yeah I was thinking of the pg.
The Gerald Green idea is still gold.

Had a fantastic 1st half against the Hawks. Finds himself in foul trouble pretty often though. Maybe he's trying too hard on d to get a full time contract?

I thought he looked the smoothest he has so far tonight - and I don't mean that because he scored some points. He was more physical and moved better without the ball.
I also thought two of the fouls he was called for (one was a charge, the other a reach) were BS calls.
I think he should be the 1st SF off the bench.

Bling got signed for a 2nd 10 day. At the end of this one we have to decide if we sign him for the rest of the season, or cut him loose.
So far it would seem that he has earned a spot full time?

Absolutely. We still have another roster spot to play with.

Changed the title of the thread to suit:
http://blogs.charlotte.com/inside_the_n ... v-job.htmlAlso, the Bobcats made it official Wednesday that small forward-guard Cartier Martin is signed through the rest of the season. Martin was a call-up from the NBA's developmental league.
