Ohara, that was hilarious.
Bad news about DJ. Gods know we can't catch a break.
edit: actually, we can't stop getting breaks, that's the problem

No 7 words. trade all picks or hire a scout.
The only time we made out good was with JRich because MJ didn't have to scout talent.
Mek doesn't count.
Although I am starting to like Felton at 5.

I was going to say DeAndre Jordan. But the kid is starting to assert himself and play well. Uhm, OK, Joe Alexander!

Orein Green, Joe Alexander.
What are you guys talking about? How we could have done worse?
Daniello Galinerri. The first year the Knicks don't have Isiah that is who they get.
We should hire Isiah and not tell Larry.

I was mentioning a likely backup pg candidate. I thought of mentioning McInnis, but that was too easy. FFP is so threatened by Augustin and we've discussed to death how Brook wouldn't work alongside Okafor because they're both centers, but whatever.
Hey everybody, here's a novel idea--how about we make NEW posts about CURRENT information and stay as close to on topic as possible without reverting EVERY thread into one of three topics:
1. Felton vs??? (BK, Combo guard label, Paul, Deron, his future, his past, etc, etc, etc, barf)
2. The Draft (seriously, someone brings it up each day)
3. Who to trade this week/who has become untradeable/WHOA! A DEADBEAT PLAYER IS AVAILABLE!?

You see...this is the problem with labeling a 20 year old rookie a bust when he has a bad string of games. Gallinari has been pretty good recently.(In limited minutes) And the Knicks are 5-1 in the games he has played this month.
http://www.basketball-reference.com/fc/ ... &year=2009So...20 year old from Europe. Adjusting to the NBA. Remind you of anyone on the Bobcats?

Oh Geez Walt, don't start goin' out and getting man crushes on guys with soft jumpers AND soft skin!Jinx is so far away he's a mascot this season. Call me in year 3 if he's got any game.
I didn't bring up Lopez.....I'm waiting until season's end to make my famous ROOKIE YEAR EVALUATION post. You nuked me last time I restated the evidence, so we won't go there!
With DJ out longer, coupled with Crash's injury, this team has serious issues making the playoffs. Singletary is giving us nothing.

Ammo is 3 years in, (1.5 really) and has looked bad for 99% of it. That I understand. But Lex and Danilo who have played a combined 30 games maybe. You are ready to give up on them?
Here is a little experiment, compare a couple of seven footers......
Player #1 First 20 games of his career:
Min per Game: 7.3
Pts per game: 1.15
FG%: .290
Rebs per game: 1.65
Blocks per game: 0.6
Player #2 First 20 games of his career
Mins per game: 6.9
Pts per game: 2.4
FG%: .379
Rebs per game: 1.0
Blocks per game: 0.3
Not much to choose from right? Player 1 is a little better rebounding and blocking shots, but player 2 is a better and more efficient scorer.
Of course player 2 is Lex, and Player 1 is a guy who went on to be a "top 5 Center,"

I understand wanting to stay on topic but it seems the DJ topic is kind of dead. We get it he is out for longer. What else can we say about that. I am sure nobody wants a new Lexi topic so I aam gonna go ahead and keep talking about what everybody else is so which brings me my question, how do you like Lexi if you never seen him.

dex, is it not ok to like a player even though that player isnt great?
cant people root for players for reasons other than their on court performance?
i love ammo, yet i realize he is a bad pick and not a good nba player. that doesnt stop me from rooting for him. he was amazing in college and i find it fun to root for slow, white players, who arent 3 pt specialists.
i love lex. even if he goes on to suck for the rest of his career i will always root for him. why? cause i love euros. i love that euro bigs have skills like shooting, passing, ball handling and arent just dunk machines like you find here in the US.
my fav bobcat of all time is walter herrman, who outside of 3 great months, has been pretty bad. but i still love him partly because of his tragic story and partly because i love to watch team argentina play.
i dont always root for great players. i dont always like the best player on the team. sometimes its just fun to pull for the underdog or a player you can personally relate to.
my wife's favorite player is ryan hollins. she LOVES him because he was a track star at UCLA and she is a high school track and cross country coach. he sucks as an NBA player. should i constantly ask her "how the hell can you like hollins? he's awful"
