Al Jefferson this coming offseason?

wolves get a bigman to anchor their defense
bobcats get a go-to player on offense

The knee is a bit of a worry, but I'd do it. I'm a huge fan of Al's though.

Then all we'd have to do would be to walk away from the draft with you and I'd be one VERY happy camper!

Jefferson is maybe the best offensive center in the league, but also one of the worst defensively. I think it's questionable whether he's better than Okafor on balance... he might actually be better as a PF than a C, as well, but we'd have no choice if we had no Okafor.

Diop would give us a choice.

paired with diop, i think we'd be ok with al on defense.

knees 100%, i'd to that trade.

i'm not looking to move okafor, i think he's playing great right now and seems to blend in well with diaw, but i dont think i could pass up a chance to add a legit 20/10 guy who is still young w/ upside.

He'd have to play C for 20+ a game still, if only to get Diaw out on the court. But I suppose it would be okay, and Jefferson is a rarer breed than Okafor is.

The fact that it comes from A TWolves fan makes it only more redicoulus not less.
Also Mek is probably overrated around the league. Everybody just thinks of the super defender is a workhorse. When you actually watch his games you realize he needs to learn to score and it doesnt look like he has worked hard enough to get some go to post moves or even a perfected 15 footer like the Oakley's and Grant's had.
Mek is very good and I like him but he is not a guy you give Jefferson away for.

I mentioned who proposed it, because you wrote "you guys are nuts", like we were totally delusional. Everything else you just wrote is exactly why most posters said they would accept trading Okafor for Jefferson.

Well, it's sort of the same thing here. Just it's a guy not a wall.

Emeka is a future All Star guy in the East. Keep em
