Henry Williams Resigns

The good news is, Steph will step into the role. The bad news is, it will only be temporary because as a couple of us have suspected for a month now, she is "with child".

GL doing whatever you'll do now Williams. TBH, I always thought you were annoying during games, but I had been appreciating your pregame pieces lately.

I much preferred Henry over Steve.

Steve is a bit of a buffoon. Nothing too offensive, but it really irks me when he gets the names of our own players wrong and that whole "triple double" thing really rubbed me the wrong way.

I can't stand Martin, just saying, didn't like Williams much either.

Because he was probably going to be fired. He was terrible.

Watching tonights game I was thinking, I wish we could get some new announcers. Gminski wouldn't be bad but him and Martin have been around forever. Can we get some fresh faces and voices. I like Stephanie and am all for the progression of women in whatever but when I listen to her I am reminded of Ammo. I want her to do good but I know there's better talent out there.

He's a minister of a local church and couldn't split his time between the two so he chose the church.

I think Steph is good, not spectacular....but good.

I would probably not like Steve Martin so much if I hadnt listened to him calling 1,000 Hornets games growing up.

I kinda wish Eugene Robinson would get involved, he is my favorite broadcaster anywhere.

I love Martin. He does a much better job of walking that line between being a homer and knowing where your paycheck is coming from. Also, I've always liked his dry sense of humor. Williams was horrible. For petes sake, during the Magic game he said its ok that Dwight has 45, I think his exact words were "he's supposed to get that". Uh, that's almost twice his average, but ok.

Ready is quite possible an even worse homer than Henry. Bring on Gminksi. Always thought was good. Just don't bring Mugsy on. I hated listening to him on the radio last year.

And that's why Martin was a good choice.

I like Steph and wouldn't be at all upset if she kept the starting gig (or got it when she came back).

Mugsy is just awful....He would put us in league with Sean Elliot and Tommy Heinsohn and other guys who make NBA broadcasts unwatchable.

Well, I just follow streams but I can tell you Martin is pretty refreshing in comparison to other teams stuff. I like how he is unbiased when a play is replayed and is evident how good or bad call it was. If I can choose to listen Steve Martin (+Ready or someone else) every game I would take it. For me it is quite good mix of focusing on the game, having an insight knowledge (Stephanie more) and not taking things seriously and making funny comments time after time.

Martin reminds me of that Uncle that everyone has who thinks he is funny but really isn't yet he keeps dropping corny one liner after corny one liner.

The only thing worse is Steph play laughing at them and encouraging him to keep doing it.

They should get the guys from the Sprite Ad to call the games. They are like family any way - hell, I'm probably MORE familiar with them than I am my own family.

I'm falling away........

Between that ad and the Wachovia ad they drive me crazy!!! Get some new ads, please!

I would like to see G-man on there, he's solid.

i'm about ready to start a national boycott of sprite due to that add. who is with me?

not that i drink sprite anyway, that **** sucks. but its the principle of it.

boycotts sprite until they stop showing that ad. lets get it done. send some e-mails to sprite and tell them we wont stand for it anymore.

thank god i watch 90% of the games either in person or on dvr, so i rarely see the commercials.

Is there a way we could bring Devlin back? I liked that guy. Can he coexist with Martin?

I'M FALLING AWAY..... WITH YOU!

Ugh, that and the freaking carolina lottery commercials. That has to be one of the creepiest commercials of all time. I'm waiting for them to film one where he busts in on someone taking a dump to tell them about the crazy scratch off games.

You guys remember the Charlotte Credit Union(or something like that) commercial with JDuds?

"ANYONE CAN JOIN!? [Try to look as stunned as possible]"

Slam-Sadly, I had a similar thought during last night's game. As tired as I am of the Sprite ad, I'm afraid I'll miss it once it's actually gone. It's become a Bobcat tradition!!

What's the Wachovia commercial? I haven't noticed that one.

The Wachovia ad is about a lady who gets her identity stolen and Wachovia helps her get her money back. She ends it with…”I’m with Wachovia”. I think we are all in argeement that they have the same ads every game...I remember I'm fallin away....from last season.
