First I introduce myself : I'm French, I follow the NBA and especially the teams with Frenchies. But no homer. I read realgm forums to know how these teams actually do on the court, besides the stats.
Here's an interview of LB, that I translate for you guys with my average English :

Oakland (28/02/09)
Did you have some links with the French federation ?
Yes. I met the French coach & Crawford Palmer in the Olympic games in 2000. They came to see Boris ans Alexis and we talked.
Would you be interested in coaching the French national team ?
I don't know...I would really like help, however it would be, but I don't think the head coaching would be for me. I appreciate people involved in that organisation. In our league, there are so many great players from France. There are many young talents who are playing in Europe too so... I want to learn. And if the situation allows it, i'll be glad to help.
Which place could you take ?
We just talked, about Boris and Alexis above all. Again, il they ask me to help, i'll be very happy to do so. I'd like they talked to each other about it there. With the relationship I have with my two players, and with all the French players in the NBA, I'd like to help.
As a coach ? (Stupid stubborn interviewer)
I don't think so. I don't know if I have enough time for them, and there are many great coaches there, who know the international game better than me, even if I had the luck to have a little experience. I'd like to learn and be with them, if they need me. I want to go there to see them play next summer. Up to them. If they choose a coach, he'll need to be ok with my eventual role.
Are you in contact with another national team ?
No. Currently, I've a real interest in the French team because I have Two French players and they are very important for me...
Boris Diaw says you love wine and cheese...
(laugh) I made 5 or 6 cycling tours in France with my wife. We went to Dordogne, Provence, around the Swiss frontier... Our ice dancer daughter competed in Nice last year. Then we stayed a week in Paris.
Very politacally correct, and low interest. For you guys to know I read you several times a week !
