OT:Rashard McCants

LBrown and MJ I told you so you damm idiots.
We have a 33 year old sg and nothing else at that position and Rashard was traded for a second round pick. We can't even get a draft right if it's a first round pick. Why didn't you trade for him.
He woud be our leading scorer and we would have 3 of the UNC teammates which would have even gotten fans.
Anyway had to vent that. But seriously Rashard who I have been saying we should get has been traded and now is averaging for his new team 57.5% from the field 40% from 3 (can you imagine the dimes we would have) a steal and 11 points in 19 minutes.
The point of this post is do you think we could get him in the offseason for the midlevel while there is a such thing.
They need to resign Felts and they should make it a selling point and try to sell new season ticket holders by selling the unc backcourt reunited and now that there very good players of Felton and MCcants.
i wouldn't give May a quialfiying offer though.
My dream of the Cats getting McCants isnt dead as you could see but I could be in real denial. That team and the Yankees were the only teams I rooted for that went all the way but Im not really into baseball.

How many wins has Rashad earned for the Kings?

There the Kings. He would be a great sg for us not Lebron James.

I have to think if LB was willing to deal with him we would've been willing to give up a 2nd for him.
Maybe Felton doesn't like McCants because he's a big baby?

List of Unresticted free agent sg's who we should go for
Gerald Green-He can be had and is completely underrated. He could be our star when Raja in 1-2 years.
Kyle Korver-I don't think Jazz let him go though
Matt Barnes-He isn't gonna be a star and is just another role player but Suns are trying to trim salary and are paying him the min if you can believe that, I know he plays sf but can play sg no problem.
Q-Alot of people are down on him. I don't think he is that bad. He would be a good stop gap if we can't trade or draft a good one.
Rodney Carney-I believe this guy has alot of potential. We could sign him and develop him.
Ricky Davis-If he got 100% healthy I think with how unselfish all the Cats are they would be able to make it work with 1 me first guy. I don't think LB would like him though. Would be our leading scorer.
Jamal Crawford-Only reason I put somebody so good on the list is Nelson wants him to opt out so maybe he can be had for cheap. Maybe we get a decent big another way and trade Crash for him and Wright or something.
I would make a list of people we should trade for but the deadline is over so there probably not looking for that.

I agree with Walt (the LB part). McCants is UNC so LB knows all about him. If we didn't make a move I have to think it was his decision.
I was more than willing to take a flyer on him as he expires this year and we do need a backup SG, but it's well known he has "issues". Maybe LB didn't want to take a chance with our chemistry?

I would 100% replace Bling on the roster with Gerald Green.
In a nano second.

Q is Richardson and he would make sence with what we seem to be doing by getting all starters with no stars.
My first pick is also Gerald Green. His ceiling is so high were he could be our star plus he rebounds very very well which could make up for Diaw's lack of rebounding.
He can totally be had to. Probably for less the midlevel but I would give him the full midlevel. He is no longer only potential to because his stats were pretty good. It would give us really good athletism and we could really run with Mek, DIaw, Wallace, Green and Felts. Bell we know can run also and DJ Im sure can run. Even Radman can be the trailer who sets up at the 3 point line.

McCants is putting up stat stuffer numbers on a really bad team.
There was a player named Willie Burton in the 90s that was drafted by the Heat. Didn't do anything there, eventually caught on to a bad Philadelphia team and averaged 15 points a game in like 29 minutes. Tony Campbell scored over 20 points a game in the first 2, or 3, seasons for the Timberwolves. Before and after that, he was a so-so bench player.
If we could have somehow convinced the Wolves to take on Sean May for McCants, sure do it. But if it would have cost us any draft pick higher then 50 overall or any player not named Sean May...then hell no. Hes scoring 9.3 points per game for the year and his EFF is only +6.26.
He was lights out against the Pacers (great defensive team by the way), but for the most part he has to put 10+ shots a game to get 10 points.
Is Gerald Green even playing this season?

That's crazy!
I would give up a second round pick in a heartbeat for McCants. Even a late first.

Bernie Bickerstaff would give up 2 2nds. Of course that was before when Rashard was going by "Kareem Rush".

Wallace and Okafor didn't exactly drop 20 every night on the expansion Bobcats.

Dexmor, do you have Alzheimers?
I swear someone told you his name is Rashad, not Rashard.

The point was that Rush and McCants are the same style of player on the court. It had nothing to do with Wallace, Okafor, Tamar Slay or whoever else that doesn't have any similarities in playing style to a "chucker 2 guard".
