So, we think that Blake Griffin will be gone when Memphis picks. According to what we think, this will be good for the Clippers. Or will it? After all, this is the CLIPPERS we're talking about. I hope that Griffin won't flame out like Michael Olowokandi did in Staples.

Now, on to the next hard luck team with a history of getting poor results out of the draft lottery. Memphis. I just hope that the Bobcats do not look like the Memphis of today ten years from now. Because our draft luck has been just as poor as the Grizzlies. But who do they take of what's left. I'm hearing they want Thabeet. But is he a good fit here? Logic says Rubio, but Rubio might be Stevie Francis II. They could even trade out of the pick. Which way do you think they go? We'll reassess the totals on Friday.

It stands to reason that they don't want to put a shooting guard like Harden or DeRozan beside last year's # 1- O. J. Mayo. I think it also stands to reason that they NEED a competent big to pair with Gasol the younger. And does Memphis really like their point guard situation?

Burning questions. My solution is to take the 87 inch tall solution (87 divided by 12 is 7 with 3 inches to spare). Now who fits that description? They will get by with the point as it is. Just my opinion!

recent speculation about rubio not wanting to be in memphis aside... i really think they should play it safe and draft thabeet.

they need a real solid big man more than just about any team in the league. they'll never start winning until they get an anchor down low.

rubio may not be ready to make a real impact for another year or two. the grizz need to get something going now. with gay and mayo they have scoring. with mayo and conley they have playmaking. they need rebounding and defense in the worst way. mayo, gay and thabeet can be a real solid defensive foundation as well.

ideally they can find a way to move back a spot or two and still get thabeet, but if not, they should just go play it safe.

This pick is really iffy because if they draft and try to keep Rubio, he's going to either stay in Spain and keep making his current paycheck or he's gonna bitch moan and complain until he gets traded somewhere he can get endorsement deals. I say trade him away for an established star or trade down in the draft. Draft Rubio and trade him is the only solution I can come up with.
