Good morning from Southeastern North Carolina, land of bright lightning and noisy May weather! I was effectively shut down by some of the weather we had last night, so better late than later.

At pick 17, we took Jonny Flynn, a point guard out of Syracuse. At 18, we have nine to choose from.
Will we continue to select point guards? You tell us!

A word to lurkers. Please don't. We want you actively participating in these votes. You are a Bobcats fan. Take some interest in your team and mark the ballot! A better team is in YOUR HANDS. We need all of the input we can get because in the end, the Bobcats need to keep their customers satisfied. Satisfaction = Annual imrpovement. You provide the feedback that makes improvement possible!

On to the voting!

I'm "Chasing" the BPA as compiled by my composite mock of mocks. Budinger represents the last Lottery Pick based on the five chosen mocks. That's good enough for me at 18.

I hear that Eric Maynor has been quite impressive in work outs so far. Hence my vote. I think Sam Young would fill a potential need for Charlotte the best, with Chase at a close second.

I want absolutely nothing to do with Chase Budinger. He is a good example of why athleticism does not equal potential....

The absolute best case scenario is solid role player, and I don't think he will even be that good. He is right now a bad defensive player, and he is not good enough offensively to make up for it. I guess the idea is that he can get better defensively but I don't see it happening. He's had plenty of time in college to learn how to get in a good stance and play with some aggressiveness and he hasn't done it. If NCAA players are blowing past him then it will be ugly in the NBA. A lot is made of his height, but it's fools gold because he has a terrible wingspan and standing reach.

Budinger is a poor mans Joe Alexander and look how he turned out... Budinger won't be around long this this league.

I've gone with Teague

Budinger has a jump shot and passing ability - two things that the Postie does not possess.

And in our closest finish yet, Jeff Teague of Wake Forest gets the 18th slot on the Big Board. A 5-4 vote is getting awwwwwful close to a tie. I hate ties. Hatem, hatem, hatem, hatem!!! Gotta get my ball cap ready!

On to 19!
