haha... sorry walt. but i didnt want to have to worry about creating a new one right in the middle of hte draft or something. :)

continuing topics from last thread.

regarding our worst case scenario. seems i left johnson and jennings off my list. seems like all of us had a different guy we wanted. thats not good.

regarding mj coming to the workout. did you see how pumped twill got about having mj around. this is precisely the reason i think it would be very beneficial for mj to get more engaged. his like a vampire that can glamour people. he just has that kind of affect on people.

regarding mj wanting james johnson... did he come to that conclusion after seeing him yesterday or the first workout... oh wait, he wasnt there. why johnson? to be honest, i havent been paying any attention to johnson this year, even though he is from wake.

is it just me or does this draft seem to have the least amount of euro players projected in the first round in the past 5 years, or more?

It does seem like it, especially with Brandon Jennings technically being one of them.

espn - "jeff teague is the most undervalued player in this draft"

Jeff Teague is terrible. He had one great game against Carolina (and let's not forget, as much as I love my Heels, slashing guards ate our lunch last year: Vasquez, McClinton, Teague, etc) and basically fell off the face of the Earth during the 2nd half of the season. He's a SG in a PG's body and that's never going to work.

I thought Lawson was meant to be some sort of super quick, lock down defender?

Why did any point guards eat UNC's lunch?

Anyone got any updates from TWill's Twitter page (I can see it at work)?

Nothing particularly interesting from T-Will's twitter. The 2 2nd's for a late 1st is from Yahoo: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=A ... &type=lgns

And Lawson was never considered a lock-down defender. He was a decent defender, but despite the notion of him being super quick, he's more north-south fast and not really laterally quick.

yeah, lawson wasnt very good on defense thru much of the year. he was beaten badly by some quick guards. he was much much better in the tounry. i think a lot of it with him was effort. he hasnt always appeared to be going 100% during regular season.

Hey guys.. the draft is getting close and I'm excited..

Am wondering why people value TWill over Evans if Evans is still available at 12?
I really like Williams' intangibles and believe he has value at 12 but honestly Evans has the potential to be as much as a difference on defence as Williams with better scoring and play making ability.

Evans has the potential to be a superstar, will contribute in the NBA next year and is perfect in sharing a backcourt with DJ. Obviously it's a matter of Evans slipping past either 4,5,6 or 8 but stranger things have happened.

Also am wondering how serious we are(or the rumours) about moving into the late first round?.. am hoping we are serious about that and I would not mind drafting Collison to back up DJ which frees us up to move felton..

what value do we want in return for Felton.. am hearing Dalemberts name a bit.. I would not mind organising a deal in principle with Philly for S&T Felton 7-8mil and Mohammed or Diop for Dalembert and Jason Smith... what do you think?

What Bilas is saying about the local kids:

GERALD HENDERSON, DUKE
He could go 10, he could go 15. Super athlete. Big-time athlete. He measured out with a 6-10 ½ wingspan. I'm not sure he has as natural an understanding of the game as a guy like Curry, but defensively he can guard three different spots. He's a little small to guard a three, but he can guard a one and a two.

JAMES JOHNSON, WAKE FOREST
He's an older guy, so it's not like he's coming out at 18 and hasn't figured it out. He's one of the guys you might have to dial back a little bit. I'd rather have to dial them back than dial them up. He's super talented and super athletic. He'll just have to refine things. He's still a little bit raw, but he has good ball skills. He's going to need to become more consistent as a perimeter shooter, but he has a lot of potential to be good.

I flip-flop on the two. I like Evans, but watching him play can be very frustrating at times when he attempts to do too much and stuffs it up or takes bad shots or goes for the flashy rather than the safe. He also has a very funky looking shot and I don't know if it can be fixed. He is young though and has a lot of upside.

TWIll just has so much personality and swagger about his game. He's been around a little longer and I think will adjust to the NBA a little quicker than Evans will.

Seriously though, at #12, I'd be fine with either.

Chad Ford was just on ESPN radio and compared Lawson to Jacque Vaughn, basically a career back up. He also has his Mock 7.0 up and has us taking TWill and Hendo going to NJ.
