I am Cavs fan and have been hearing of a rumored Cavs/Bobcats trade. Just wondering if you guys have been hearing anything about this? This is what hoopshype posted:

One rumor floating around had the Cavs sending guard/forward Wally Szczerbiak and forward/center J.J. Hickson to Charlotte for forward Gerald Wallace in a sign-and-trade.

yes we heard and its a crap rumor...the bobs just told the blazers that we are not trading wallace....

I'd rather trade Wallace than Okafor.

I'd like Hickson, but how would the salary thing work relative to Wally?? Would have to be a sign & trade, and do we really want another high-priced contract here?

As to trading Wallace versus Okafor...I'm for the trade of any player that makes us better. If Okafor can't bring us quality value in the form of a player(s) and contract relief, Wallace works also (for the right deal).

It doesn't matter who we would rather trade. If there's a fair trade offer for Wallace we will accept it, but please get out with that Gerald for Wally crap

The Cavs would have to sign Szczerbiak to a one year deal for around $ 8 million dollars, and Szczerbiak would have to agree to take buy out upon being traded in order to get the deal done, so basically it comes down to the Cavs trading Hickson who has upside for Wallace.

I do not get to see a lot of Bobcat games since I live in Ohio, so what do you guys think of Wallace? He is fairly young, so that is a plus, but I hear he is a slash to the basket type player with out a jumpshot. Is this a correct depiction of him?
