Whats up guys, alright im not trying to say anything is certain but there are some rumors floating around about a possible sign and trade with Felton going to the Magic. I guess Larry wants DJ as the sole starter going forward and the Bobcats dont want to put big money into Felton and have him as a potential bitter backup. So he is considering a short one or two year deal and after the deal is up, testing the free agent waters again. Well reportedly the Bobcats arent down with this and they would rather just get something out of him instead of keeping him around to boost his value. So the rumored deal is

JJ Redick
Anthony Johnson
Future 1st

for

Raymond Felton
Alexis Ajinca

The future 1st and Ajinca are still being debated but this is the basic deal. Apparently Feltons people are saying he would accept a short term deal with the Magic and a backup role on a contender to boost his value and get spotlight and the Bobcats just want to get some value and not lose him for nothing.

Again this is all speculation as of right now, but anyways what do you guys think?

The opportunity to expose Morrison AND Redick as busts is too good for me to give up. Count me in!

Lol Redick is actually starting to turn himself into a solid player...Anyways does this trade sound realistic, does it sound like something that the Bobcats front office would even consider...Im trying to gauge if this is something the Bobcats would even think about doing.

I'd pass for sure. The FO might be dumb enough to do it, though.

I'd do this trade if it was to save money for signing AI. if not then I'd rather just keep Felton for a year and let him test the market next year.

Its all going on over on the Orlando Magic Website Forum...A guy claims to have insider info and sounds pretty damn serious and is giving updates...Take it for what it worth though, im not trying to say its true or not, basically im just throwing it out there.

So tell me again why Felton would agree to this trade where he goes in as a backup?

He does have to agree to it y'know.

For Ray, maybe a short term deal with 20 min/ game and a good chance to get a ring and increase his value as a FA in 2 years. Not sure I buy it tho. For Charlotte, if we are getting 2 expirings and Fran, I can see the expirings being tempting to Bob Johnson as far as getting the most value in a sale of the team. Haven't checked but I think I saw where on the Magic board someone said they were both expirings. Not saying I'd be happy with the deal by any means; but just that a deal like this would not shock me.

As a Magic fan, I have ZERO idea of why you guys would even consider this. However, its the offseason and rumor always get thrown around. Just something to discuss to help time pass.
