Looking at the schedule I expect us to be at least 8-8 by Dec. 1. Is this wishful thinking? I don't want to be a Homer!

This is the only game I disagree with. Even though we play Orlando the night before I believe we can win in Detroit the next night.

I'm guessing we have a pretty bad start. That early schedule is filled with good teams and teams that we could easily lose to. There's only a couple of gimme's.

I'm guessing at least 11 losses, so what's that? 5-11?

I think we have a very good shot vs. Chicago & Detroit. No matter how they spin it CHI lost their go to guy/clutch scorer...and Detroit is very weak in bigs.

I think 8-8 is very possible.

Which 5 games do you think we will win?

I think @Washington will be a tougher game than @Chicago or @Detroit.

All three are winnable, IMO. But I guess every game is a winnable game, unless we face Cleveland.

I'm gonna say at best we go 10-6, and at the worst we go 5-11.

Much better to do percentages on this kind of thing.....

Wed 28 @ Boston 7:30pm - 30% chance of a win
Fri 30 vs New York 7:00pm - 65%
Sat 31 @ Cleveland 7:30pm - 10%
Mon 02 vs New Jersey 7:00pm - 70%
Fri 06 vs Atlanta 7:00pm - 45%
Sat 07 @ Chicago 8:00pm - 50%
Tue 10 vs Orlando 7:00pm - 15%
Wed 11 @ Detroit 7:30pm - 50%
Sat 14 vs Portland 7:00pm - 30%
Mon 16 @ Orlando 7:00pm - 10%
Wed 18 @ Philadelphia 7:00pm - 55%
Fri 20 @ Milwaukee 8:30pm - 60%
Sun 22 vs Indiana 5:00pm - 65%
Wed 25 vs Toronto 7:00pm - 60%
Fri 27 vs Cleveland 7:00pm - 10%
Sat 28 @ Washington 7:00pm - 65%

So that would predict 6.8 wins and 9.2 losses. I personally would be happy if we are at .500 after all that, its a tough stretch.

I don't look at it like that. If I did, I'm guessing:

New York
New Jersey
Orlando
Indiana
Toronto

I think we'll beat one a team we shouldn't (I just happened to pick Orlando), and lose to a team we shouldn't (Milwaukee in this scenario).

If we're .500 or better after the start of the season, I would be surprised, and it would mean that maybe we caught lightning again. If we're more like I think, I'm guessing we'll be in for a long season -- maybe make a run here or there -- but eventually being one of those mediocre teams that isn't good enough to make the playoffs, but not bad enough for a high draft pick.

Maybe we can be like the 6th worst team; they always seem to move up.
