D Nugget Trade?

First I have to admit I don't have a clue how the Bobcat's front office thinks so I'll just start with that comment.
Would Larry Brown & Co have any interest in JR Smith, Kenyon Martin, and (maybe) Renaldo Balkman?
If so, what would the team send. Keep in mind we are pretty well set at PG with Billups, Lawson and possibly Anthony Carter coming back... so I doubt Felton would draw any interest in a S&T.
Smith and Kmart are fairly short contracts (this season and next) and Balkman is expiring. It seems based on the last trade that the Cats want short contracts like that back.

yeah, but we have two high bball IQ veterans at SG and PF, both with decent contracts.
There's no reason to trade them.
Not to mention that Smith and Martin are dumb as rocks

I liked Smith until I found out he has the matturity level of a 11 year old. I always knew he was an idiot because in his rookie year he asked David Wesley if practice was optional.

I thought it was shootaround, but yeah, I remember that.
I would trade either, Bell or Henderson, for Smith, though. That kid's a baller!

Why am I not surprised. Another selfish chucker with a bad attitude who plays no defense. I'm sure LB is doing cartwheels over the possibility of coaching that knucklehead.

He had a higher FG% than Raja ...

The Nuggets would be crazy to offer Smith for Bell and we would be crazy to turn it down. If you would say no because you don't like Smith on a personal level or you think Raja brings leadership and that makes up for the gap in the quality of play, that's fair, but all things being equal, Smith is flat-out a better player right now.

Say what? Smith plays no defense. Why in the world would we trade Bell for Smith?!?!?!?!?

Right, because we would decline it.

what your FO does is completely unpredictable. And you don't do yourself much credit when you call Smith a chucker. Those damn 40% from the 3 point line shooters. Those chuckers

So what? He plays next Carmelo and that means plenty of open shots. Why is everything always about offense with you? You complain about the direction of this team, yet you have no idea yourself how do build a winning team.

Don't believe everything the conventional wisdom tells you....
If Bell is such a superior defender why did the guys he guarded have better numbers than the guys that Smith guarded last year?
Bell opponent PER at SG: 15.8
Smith opponent PER at SG: 14.1
Not so much of a difference, but shows that Smith must play at least SOME defense.
Let me guess your response....
"Stats don't mean anything, What I've heard on Internet message boards and what I remember seeing in a few games from months or years ago means more than hard evidence,."

Wait, what? Shooting 40% from 3 point land means greatness? Huh? Is this how we measure players now? All I know is the more 3 pointers you take, the more long rebounds and fast breaks go the other way.
But anyway, we're not trading for Smith and his 453 chucks from 3 point land because he's not a LB type player.

Simple answer, Bell is usually asked to guard the better players while Smith is not. And please, get real with trying to prove Smith is a good defender. Everyone (except you) knows he's a human turnstile.
