Top 5 moments in Bobcats history

Post#1 » by hondaaccord » Thu Aug 27, 2009 3:57 am

Hi - I am interested in what you guys think are your top 5 moments in Bobcats history.

Not trying to rail on you guys, but you have been in the Lottery since your inception and I am on the west coast so I don't pay much attention.

Any help?

No joke waydown, that's basically all I can think of. None of the drafts have positive memories at this point. Maybe when we brought in Larry Brown? I had some hope at that point.

Yeah, but if I knew on draft day 2004 that we would be trading him for Tyson Chandler five years later, it'd be upsetting.

J-Rich owning Paul Pierce in Boston was awesome!
Felton's game winner @ DET.
07-08 @ LAL Carroll's dagger and Kobe being ejected.

Off the top of my head...but out of all these my No. 1 will forever be hard to beat IMO. Crash just refusing to let us lose.

1) Crash vs. Atlanta where he had 2 blocks and drew a charge on the last play (yes..on ONE play) to win the game.

2) Jason Richardson singlehandedly beating the Celtics in Boston year before last (Crash was out injured).

3) Felton vs LBJ his rookie year in Cleveland...unstoppable.

4) Emeka Okafor smacking about 5 shots of Derrick Rose to win the game last year vs. Chicago.

5) Emeka Okafor with 10 blocks in NY.

6) Firing the Idiot.

7) Hiring Larry Brown.

Well nobody knew at that time Okafor would be more into developing his pecs than his game.

I feel your pain. :P

Unfortunately, we're so much more concerned about money than winning, that we'll trade our most productive player for a scrub. :nonono:

That Lakers game last year at L.A. has to be in the Top 5.

Crash getting his lung caved in kind of kills that one for me...but on the bright side we have a LOT of victories against LAL to look back at. :D

Derek Anderson shutting Kobe down. Hammer missing the assignment on Kobe and he sends it to (another?) OT where we win anyway.

I like the Lakers!

Hey, remember the Princess against Indiana? Man he raised some hopes only to dash them to the ground.

5. Diop misses a free throw by a foot, everyone encourages him by standing and clapping with genuine support. He swishes the second.

4. Sean May hits a three on the last shot of the game to get a win.

3. Sean May blocks LBJ on the last play of the game vs the cavs to seal a win in a one possession game.

2. Gerald Wallace blocks D Wade on back to back plays above the rim

1. The bobcats are getting destroyed at Detroit Larry empties the bench playing Alexis Ajinca and Ryan Hollins the rest of the way. The bobcats come from like 30 down to make it a one possession game. Gerald Wallace is out on the floor waving a towel cheering on the bench players with all he's got. How can you not love everything GW gives this team.

Yes this one I'll never forget. In addition it was the very first game Raja and Boris played for us - awesome way to show where they were traded to.
