Hey guys,
I've recently seen some articles about Rashad McCants with the Bobcats, but then i can't find anything that actually says he has signed with them. Im guessing he's not in Bobcats yet is he?
Or are they just saying McCants is a good player for Bobcats to sign? and that he would be a good fit for them?
I guess im just wondering where McCants and Bobcats are at and the latest news about it etc. It would be good if he came to Charlotte.

Nice avatar DeeJay, and welcome to the board.
McCants twittered something about the workout basically saying he thought it went well and that they played some scrimmages. As of now it doesn't look like we've offered him a deal.

I don't really see the point of getting McCants unless we think Henderson sucks too much to play. He doesn't offer much of a size advantage over Felton, so I guess he'd mostly be out there to shoot 3s when Bell is off the court.
I personally don't think it matters much either way with the signing, he's just the new Cartier Martin.

What are you talking about he isn't the same size of Felton. He is 6'4 or so with the wingspan of a sf.

At this point, he would pretty much have to sign for just about anything he gets offered. I say give him a shot. As long as we don't bring in Pavlovic, I'll be happy.

Thanks,
Oh ok i guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
I've also been thinking about what Bobcats starting lineup will be, what do you guys reckon? That's if we end up signing Felton again.
Felton, Bell, Wallace, Diaw, Chandler?
Augustin, Bell, Wallace, Diaw, Chandler?
Augustin, Felton, Wallace, Diaw, Chandler?
I don't really know. I'd like to see D.J starting though. But then again he could be good coming off the bench

I have no doubt the lineup as currently constructed is Felton/Bell/Wallace/Diaw/Chandler.

We are safe... Pavlovic signed a one year deal with the T-Wolves

Signing McCants is the only way you could say the Cats improved and have an outside shot at the playoffs. If they don't sign him then they are just clueless and it's lotto time, who knows maybe thats what they want.

If we do sign McCants I see him as a 12th man type "not" a difference maker. I don't want him.

Any Tar Heels insiders know how McCants and Felton got along in college. I know it's a business and it doesn't matter if they like each other or not but bringing in a guy who could cause chemistry problems might be a bad move. He might not be a problem but considering he doesn't have the talent of an A.I. or even Stephen Jackson, why bother?

Felts gets along with everyone, except Sasha Grey and Cry Baby Davis.

From what I've heard, they didn't dislike each other, but they aren't friends and they don't keep in touch. In that recent interview I'm pretty sure Rashad said Marvin was the only one he keeps in touch with.

Cants can score 20 a night. Nobody else can.

Interesting theory. Too bad there is no proof whatsoever to back up that statement. And no, I'm not going to take the word of a guy who can only spell Rashad right 15% of the time.
