The hot topic lately has been Bell being "shopped" by the Bobcats. This has been happening for some time now, and clearly nothing of appropriate value has emerged to entice the team to pull the trigger. Therefore I suspect Bell is here for the season unless the situation dictates a change. Trades just don't get made at the start of training camp, or near the start of the season.

If we deal him it's more likely at the deadline.

I also suspect we'll try using our existing pieces to fill the void at the 4 unless another option lands on our doorstep (similar to Flip Murray).

Thanks Fats. Glad to see others are starting to see what I saw months ago!

Obviously I coulnd not know some of the details of what was going on last season with the french bean. But I knew things weren't going well when he was finally shipped to D-league (far too late). Then, when he couldn't crack the french squad this summer, that was a clanging gong saying "..this kid is not progressing". I hope this is a lesson to LB and any other future Bobcats coach. NEVER, EVER, pick a player strictly on athletic potential. From the get go I could see Ajinca had bad footwork, under-developed legs, poor fundamentals and a low BBIQ. He had never produced any results worth of his selection. It certainly was pathetic giving up our future 1st to get that extra pick.

Sorry Doc. I get cranky when we're building up toward the launch of the season. It's sort of the old coach in me (I used to coach youth basketball). Always looking to improve, get better, push for excellence. Once we get to the games I get a whole lot better to live with!

And fair enough, I haven't been very positive lately. So let me give you all my positives as training camp has started:

> I think Chandler's a breath of fresh air. A vocal, dynamic personality who wants to win badly. He may not be anything close to a star but I think he'll help this team.
> This is the year for Crash to take his game to all-star level (he won't get there because of the logjam in front of him). I can't wait to see him operate with Chandler helping to spread the lane, setting the pick and roll.
> Diaw looked really good in France, and the work helped him to keep the pounds down. I think he'll keep his level of play from last season and even build on it due to his support from LB.
> Glad to have Felton back. He may not improve that jump shot, but I love his leadership and determination to do whatever it takes on the court.
> What a great pick up we got in Flip Murray. He is probably the perfect player for LB to complete his 5 guard set, and is one of the best remaining players available so late to the start of the season.
> Looking forward to seeing our rookies play. Henderson will become a solid contributor one day, and should help provide some minutes of quality defense. I think UPS (Brown) was a steal, and will carve out minutes on the court as the season progresses.
> I think DJ takes some big steps forward this year. He has really worked on his game in the off-season and is healthy. Still don't think he's destined for greatness, but we should all find out his upside this year.
> Our depth is much bettter, especially if Nazr and Diop have improved themselves during the summer. Looking at this squad compared to seasons past, it's easy to envision us making the playoffs.

There you go! :)

I feel sorry for Chris Paul, he loses his best friend and teammate and now has to deal with Mr Whiny. Soooo happy that stiff is gone.

And you won't see any debate off that article because the stat heads don't understand team chemistry and player attitude. If it was a negative article you'd have the usual suspects in here whining about our front office.
