Slam's Key To Winning:
If we are in front by 2 or less with seconds left on the clock, keep the ball out of Ray Allen's hands.

Slam's Key Match Up:
Crash Vs Pierce. Time for Crash to take it up a notch this season.

Slam's Danger Guy:
Rondo. His length, quickness and anticipation could give our PG's fits

Slam's Predicted Stat Line Of The Night:
Tyson with 4 blocks.

They, like LA, ARE cupcakes, at least to the Bobcats.

This will be the 2nd game of a back to back for the Celtics.

Haha, love the Boston Terrier pic... my dog is that breed.

Last year we played the Celtics tough, and it's back to back apparently, so those are two good positives.

The negative is that they were wildly superior to us at literally everything last year, except for forcing turnovers, and they fouled more than us on D.

But sometimes matchups matter more than overall talent, so hopefully we're up to the challenge here.

Ugh, this will be ugly. Rondo and KG/Sheed will kill us with their pick & roll, and there is no Bell to limit Allen or Pierce.

I'm a gambler and usually, I don't bet on our games. But this time, I think I'll put my money on the Celtics.

Nice opener. Should be a good test for us.

I was actually thinking the spread was going to be so bad that I'd go the other way. I guess I should look.

Felton cannot guard Ray Allen not to mention we're playing a fully loaded Celtics team. Not feeling good about this one. Hopefully we'll have a good November.

Given our struggles of the preseason, and the fact our frontcourt guys aren't nearly up to speed and game ready, I'm glad we've got these two tough contests early. We would not be favored, nor likely, to win either contest anyway. If it works out that way, we've lost nothing. If we pull an upset, hooray for our side!

My hope is we win the home games against the Knicks and Nets, are 2 & 2 heading into a tough November. My positive expectation is to finish November at 6-10. It could be uglier if we can't beat some teams on the road.

I actually feel good about opening night. We get Boston on the back end of a back to back. They have to play the Cavs tonight in Cleveland, then travel home to face the Bobcats. They will be worked hard tonight by Cleveland, and they dont have Big Baby.

ok so they are tired... maybe they sleepwalk thru 3 quarters and let us hang around, then in the 4th they get serious and shut us down defensively, while pierce gets to the line 10 times in the last 5 mins and they win by 5. thats my prediction anyway.

unless they lose vs cleveland in that first game... in that case, god help us. we will get destroyed.

As I heard, the real refs start working tonight, so we dont have to deal with the idiots.

Looks like Hulk Jr. is getting the start per Bonnell in his latest blog post:

In the absence of Bell and guard Flip Murray (stress reaction in his left shin), Bobcats coach Larry Brown plans to start Stephen Graham at shooting guard. That allows D.J. Augustin to play most of his minutes at point guard. The Bobcats open their season Wednesday night in Boston.

Bonnell clarifies:

As to Graham starting, don't make too much of that. Larry didn't want to shell-shock Henderson by starting him in Boston, in his first regular-season game, guarding Ray Allen. And with Murray out, Larry thought it best not to start D.J., since this leaves them with fewer point guards.
