After each game will will vote for the Hammer of the Game Awards (Bobcats players only). The voting will be open for 24 hours after the end of each game (or longer if i am being lazy). Fans from the opposing teams are encouraged to vote, just remember the vote is for the best Bobcats (even if your team beats us by 30).

Points
3 = best player of the game
2 = second best player of the game
1 = third best player of the game

Player with the most points gets a gold hammer, player with the second most points get a silver hammer and the player with the third most points gets a bronze hammer. In the event of a tie, both players will be awarded the higher hammer for win and the lower hammer for losses. If two players tie for a bronze in a loss, only the gold and silver will be awarded (I just cant justify 4 hammers for a loss).

Gold Hammer = 3pts
Silver Hammer = 2pts
Bronze Hammer = 1pt

- Votes must be clear and follow the points listed above with 3 being the best (and so forth)
- Votes must have a best, second best and third best. If you do not list 3 players, your vote will not count. If you list more than 3 players, your vote will not count. If you list a tie, your vote will not count. Votes for anything other than our players, will not count.

here are the results for 2008/09

Sorry, you don't think that your post seemed at all like late-night drunkery? It was intended to be lighthearted, I know that Walt and I post drunkenly a lot.

last 5 game crash only has 2 bronze hammers. easily his worst 5 game stretch of the season.

diaw has 0 hammers during that stretch.

nazr picked up 2 golds and a silver for 8 hammers.

Solid effort by Tyrus considering he had such a late start.

Also a little disappointing that it's not our starting 5 that make up the top 5 spots IMO.

if you add frankencenter into one player IT would finish 46 hammers, good enough for 5th place. ;)

I adjusted the hammers for 82 games, to take into account injured/traded players. Of course it's not perfect, specially for players having played a really small amount of games, but I thought it would be interesting nonetheless. Here's how it goes :

Gerald Wallace: 112.2
Stephen Jackson: 78.6
Raymond Felton: 70.7
Tyrus Thomas: 68.9
Raja Bell: 65.5
Boris Diaw: 55
DJ Augustin: 45.1
Flip Murray: 42.8
Nazr Mohammed: 42.4
Larry Hughes: 23.4
Tyson Chandler: 22.5
Derrick Brown: 14.4
Alexis Ajinca: 13.7
Stephen Graham: 11.7
Theo Ratliff: 5.8
Gerald Henderson: 5.7
Gana Diop: 3
