With Harris out, this would be a completely inexcusable loss, we really ought to be able to beat this team. So long as we keep Lopez under control, there shouldn't be enough points on that Nets squad to win, even against our offense.

Lopez has been bad these past couple of games.

True, he got into foul trouble against Dwight Howard, and then mysteriously played 28 minutes against the Wizards. I still view him as priority #1 for that squad with Harris out.

No offense to the Nets but I will be extremely disappointed if we don't win by 10+. We have got to win the games we should win if we have any hope at making the playoffs. The defense is there, we have a championship level defense. We need to cut out the turnovers and hit open shots. It can't be that hard.

Vegas, right now has us favored by eight. I have a feeling that this will be a win but by an eight point margin is asking a lot, at least for us.
We were 1-2 against NJ last season, but then again they've looked awful and they'll be without their best player. I'm basically adding nothing new. Tonight's a must win game. Losing in Boston and in Cleveland is somewhat understandable, losing at home to the Nets would not be in any way what so ever.

Exactly! I would not be overconfident if Harris were playing, but without him, we should win this one by a comfortable margin of +10.

First, thank you Walt for the thread.
I will actually take any win. Win is a win. I guess we will drive a lot tonight to get Lopez in foul trouble because without him they wouldn't have much. In addition LB want us drive anyway. CDR might surprise me but I already feel sorry for him going against Crash.

Crash needs a bounce back, 30 pt game. Hes overdue. Actually our whole offense is overdue.

"It felt pretty good yesterday. We came in and worked out,'' Bell said. "I got some passes with the one hand to see if I could catch, and I threw some passes. It felt good. I said once I could do that, I'd give it a shot.''
They played Friday (double OT), Saturday and then worked out on Sunday. It certainly seems the drive is there for them to get better. Hopefully we'll see more progression tonight.

we are favored by 8? wow. when you only score 80, 8 points is a lot.
i expect wallace to have a big game tonight. he is due. 29% wont last. i also expect dj to break out of his mini slump and hopefully get back on track.
can chandler slow down lopez?
limit the turnovers is key.

We need to step on their throats quickly and not let up. Without Harris, a quick start could put this away. We CANNOT let them just hang around.

Yi and CDR have been playing well. I think it's ignorant to assume we just have to stop Lopez. He is the number one threat, definitely.

This is a must win because our schedule gets difficult over the next 2 weeks starting with Atlanta on Friday.

Agreed. We're in a tough division, so we have to win all of the games we can against non divisional EC teams to make up for it. This game is as "must win" as a game this early in the season can be.

Of course, but Yi is not bad matchup for Diaw (I hope). It is not like <random Okafor pun> it is Emeka cahsing him around the arc </random Oakfor pun>
