felton has to go

we are so lucky he turned down our contract offer. he will not get any offers close to what he rejected next summer. i feel bad for him. he's a great dude, a warrior and a great teammate, but he is clearly not going to ever "get it". he looks worse now than he ever has. i believe he is reason #1 (of a long list) we are so awful on awfense this season.

how long until LB gives up on ray and hands over the team to DJ. sure, DJ has looked rather awful as well, but at least he has room to grow. we have to see what we have with DJ. we cant afford to wait for felton to figure things out. he needs to be benched, sooner rather than later.

make DJ the starter. ive had enough.

we need to let felton walk next summer. do not resign him.

Although I agree that he has been playing terrible as of late. At this point, he is simply the best PG we have. As bad as he has been playing, he has outplayed DJ who just looks awful as well. :o

I really don't know what the deal is with these guys. Felton looks lost and DJ's being so exposed in nearly every matchup it isn't funny. This position was supposed to be our biggest strength.

Tyson is the #1 reason our team is awful.

I already mentioned it in the other thread, our point guards SUCK. Ship Feltons ass out, and package DJ+Fillers for a scorer or a real point guard. I'm so sick of this team.

And with all due respect, but if MJ didn't realize tonight, what a mess this team is, he also needs to GTFO. Seriously, we have the guy around us, who literally invented this sport, and we can't benefit from this? pathetic.

I guess all that's left is for Feltonforpres to turn on him.

Ray is the same guy he's been since his rookie season... a terrible scorer, an OK passer, an above-average defender, and a guy who can't figure out that he shouldn't shoot. All this season does is offer the final nail in the coffin of his "potential" to improve.

It is sad that guys like Ty Lawson can come in the league and do what Felton hasn't figured out how to do for the past 5 years. I don't question Felton's love for the game, but I do question what he puts in to become better.

No, the reason our team is awful is due to incompetence in the front office and drafting utter rubbish, which goes hand in hand. The front office is sooo incompetent they couldn't even organise a shag in the brothel..... Bunch of butt clowns.....

Blow this ***t up......

At least Bogut and the Bucks are giving us Australians something to cheer for. Andersen isn't doing too bad in Houston either.

Our roster is why we suck. This link illustrates it fairly well:

http://www.82games.com/0910/0910CHA1.HTM

Anyone want to adjust to answers in this thread?
viewtopic.php?f=53&t=942397

Charlotte is among the worst team in the league in:

last in PPG (82.44 ppg) [don't even start talking about "pace", we are on "pace" to suck alot]
last in FG% (yay 39.4% team FG%)
28th in 3p% (29.2%)
28th in assists per age
last (as in highest) in the league in turnovers (17.55 turnovers per game)
25th in ppg differential

What are we doing right?

#8 in the league in rebounds per game
#4 in the league in rebound differential

So how easy is it to change one's name on this board anyway? We could start a poll....

I have nothing. No defense this time. I could try and argue prolonged slump but the logical counter to that would be "4yrs is a really long slump". I'm still hopeful that the lightbulb goes off at somepoint but if LB can't do it, I don't know who can.

I still prefer him the DJ but right now that's a lot like saying I prefer Rosie O'donnell to Kathy Bates. Yeah, that's the image I want to put in everyone's head. Seems like a good comparison.

I prefer Felton to DJ because the only thing I see when I look at DJ is Brook Lopez and the ridiculously stupid decision not to take Lopez.

I remember jumping up and down when Lopez dropped to us on draft night and wanting to go punch trees when we took Augustin instead.

aww.... ttf... come on, let put the chandler hate aside for one second and look at the big picture. tyson is NOT the #1 problem on offense. there are a lot of problems, but the biggest problem right now is coming from the pgs. if tyson was the biggest problem on offense, then why cant we score when he is out of the game either? he played 3 mins in the first half and we still only scored 30. nazr has been decent on offense in his place so that theory makes no sense. and felton is not the same player he has always been. he looks much worse this season. shooting is worse, scoring is down, assists are down, turnovers are up. and beyond stats, he looks sloppy, takes way too long to get the offense running. he is a hot mess right now.

yeah, dj has looked equally bad, but dj is in his second year. eventually we have to find out what we have with dj. im not saying felton shouldnt play, but i think maybe he should come off the bench for a few games at least. lb has to let him know that his play is not acceptable. when something isnt working you make a change. i dont want to see us use this same starting lineup for 82 games if the scoring doesnt get better.

that same theory applies to chandler and anyone else. maybe chandler should come off the bench for a few games... although LB says he wont do that.

ray has one good game, followed by two awful games. you cant have that kind of inconsistency from the pg position.

He's just doing his shtick. Whatever floats his boat. Probably only watched 2 games so far this season. I don't even think he is a Bobcats fan because no fan would want Elton Brand and his toxic contract and bad knees on their team.

Also fats, I was thinking yesterday as I was watching this latest debacle unfold, has Larry Brown ever had a player (Felton) regress so bad in his second year of coaching the team? My only explanation for this is that Raymond has his contract situation on his mind. Why else would he be chucking up sooooo many shots? I think he's just playing for stats and not the team. This is terrible and I think Ray's weirdness is affecting DJ.

But a Bobcats' fan would want three of the most overpaid centers in the league, and a space cadet who is also ridiculously overpaid.

Your godsend (Tyson Chandler) has not made us a better team, and he sucks. Admit it.

How many times do I have to tell you that Tyson Chandler has been terrible for it to sink into your skull? But to be FAIR to him, he is coming off SURGERY and hardly played much last season. Like I said all summer too, (which you conveniently ignore) is that if Chandler stinks then his contract can be a valuable expiring one next summer. His short contract keeps our roster and cap situation FLEXIBLE so if things don't pan out with him or the rest of the team, then it is easier to blow things up and start fresh.

But TC is not THE problem, if you've been watching this team then you would be waaaaaaaaay more upset with the play of Felton and DJ because that is where it all begins. It's not like we're missing Okafor's whopping 11 ppg, shoddy defense, and inconsistent play which he's putting on full display in New Orleans. We're out rebounding teams so it's not like we miss him there either.

And the rest of the team has not panned out so now we have to start over if things don't turn around soon.

I understand you. I have my salvation coming in the form of czech prospects entering nba in few years (first one should be drafted in June).

Allways look on the bright side of life. No turnovers for Raymond this time (apparently his shots weren't counted).
