Sooooooooooooooooooo, just puttin this out there....
But if the Hornets are going into dump salary mode, and Paul is pissed off at the organization... what are the chances we trade any combination of players they want for Paul? I would literally give up the whole team for him and go to town with NBDL players this year if I had to.
But I imagine they would want some expiring deals and like DJ or something. Would DJ + Felton when he's tradable + Raja Bell + Nazr + for Paul + Peja get it done/work?
I'm serious about this.

You can't be serious about this. We do not have the pieces to trade for Paul even if we included 3 unprotected lottery picks. If you trade Chris Paul (which they won't) you need serious talent back in return.

I like the effort, but it's never going to happen. That city struggles to sell tickets even when they have a good team and one the the most exciting, talented young players in the league. If they don't get one hell of a package for Paul, if they do end up trading him, everyone in that organization will soon be looking for places in Seattle to live.

Chris Paul is a much better point guard than Baron Davis. Plus Davis was gimpy for like 3 years straight before they dumped him on GS.

If the Hornets are looking to blow it up and avoid the luxury tax then they will value expiring deals like talent. We've seen it before - teams doing uneven transactions to dump salary. With that said though, we don't have enough expiring deals to make up for our clear lack of any talent.
