Bobcats are looking for bigs

Post#1 » by JR_SMITH_23 » Mon Nov 30, 2009 7:42 pm

It seems the Bobcats are looking for bigs, but are having a hard time finding a deal that works.

Would you guys be interested in any of these guys

Hilton Armstrong (may really need a change of scenery)
Sean Marks
Darius Songalia (very dependable)

I'd a 2nd rd pick for any of those guys

If you're willing to take Diop in return, yes. Otherwise, hell no.

Diop and his 4-yr 27 million dollar contract can stay in Charlotte.

How else would you get a deal done...if not a player, or pick...you can't send cash only for a player. Not any other option there. Songalia would give you a big that can hit mid-range shot, which I don' think you have right now.

...and we don't need a soft jumpshooting big man.

Well what type of big man do you need? Rebounder/shot blocker = Hilton Armstrong..Energy/hustle/garbage man=Sean Marks...scorer= Songalia..what did I miss??

Well last June we got Derrick Brown (aka UPS) by second round pick. Although such a steal doesn't happen every year i would rather stand pat and keep whatever pick we still have.

Not mentioning that drafting a player and deal him for cash/whatever could bring us more in current economic environment.

We already have two bigs who don't produce for us on the roster. Don't see any need to bring in more.

A list of players that Id like to see in a cats uni are:

1) jason thompson.....doubt it
2) carl landry....maybe
3) cris kaman/marcus camby....possibly
3) marc gasol...highly unlikely
4) david west.....very unlikely

prolly have to give up too much to get any of them, but thats my wish list

We're looking for a big man?

I don't think Marks or Hilton is better than what we have. Songaila is closer, but I still would prefer Nazr/UPS.

as an aside, man that Hornets bench sucks.....

Unfortunately the 2010 pick is spoken for, sort of.

How about Chandler for Okafor?

I want West but we cannot trade Nazr right now because we have good chemistry at the center spot. Diaw is the most likely to go. DJ could be traded also.
