Cavaliers get:
Boris Diaw
Tyson Chandler

Bobcats get:
Wally Szcerbiak (sign & Trade so he will be expiring)
JJ Hickson
2011 2nd round pick, 2012 2nd round pick (neither protected)
Cash (to buy out Wally)

I'd rather trade Diaw and Nazr for Brand.

I'm not really sold on Hickson but I'd take him over Diaw. Frankly, I don't think this trade is that bad but I think we could get something better for those two.

Perhaps this instead:

Cavs get: Chandler & Diaw

Bobcats get: Wally(S&T for buy-out), JJ Hickson,2010 1st round pick (since Charlotee has no 1st rounder this year, and it's a deep draft)

No thanks. We'd just waste the 1st and the front office has no interest in obtaining expiring contracts to fix our cap situation. Admittedly, I haven't seen much of Hickson, but I don't think he's the type of player you can build a team around... and if he is, it might be a good idea for Cleveland to hold on to him.

Well, to be honest, the Cavaliers Front Office probably wouldn't do this trade, as they are VERY,VERY high on Hickson.

However, I just wanted to see what the Bobcat's fans thought.

Also...

How long do the Charlotte fans think Larry Brown is going to stick around with a front office that won't give him the pieces he needs to win?

The argument can be made that these are pieces LB is specifically requesting. Augustin, Diaw, Bell, Jackson and Diop all seem like or are rumored to be the selections of LB.

I think its safe to say Larry Brown sucks at drafting.

I think it is safer to say our franchise sucks at drafting.

Correct, our drafting ability has sucked from pretty much the beginning with only a few of the picks turning out nicely (Mek, Wright turning into Jack and Diaw...., Hendo, UPS). In his short tenure here, LB has made more good draft picks than were made in all the years before.

JDuds was a good pick.

He was a good team guy, but 6/4 in 20 minutes (as a soph) doesn't really scream good pick to me. UPS is giving us 5/2 in 7 less minutes and Hendo is giving us 4 and 1 in only 9 minutes in a much slower pace as rookies.

Are you oblivious to what he's doing in Phoenix? Dudley is an NBA roleplayer that provides hustle. He is definitely someone we brought into the league that should be considered one of our better selections in the draft. Good pick =/= stats, it's about getting relative value. There are some guys taken after him that have been better, but that's hindsight... there were a lot of players picked ahead of him that he is better than. Brown and Henderson are good picks as well, but I guess you can consider Dudley a bad pick if you want, it's just weird to me.

If Dude had played his entire time in Charlotte under LB rather than The Idiot I bet his numbers would have been better too.

Dude was a GREAT pick for us.
