I still think it's a little early. Two losses and we're down. Two wins and we're up. If we lose @SA and @DAL, we'll probably be down again...

Totally agree. I'm reserving judgement until the New Year.
Our good is great but our bad is worse. At the moment the gap between the two is too great.
Hope LB keeps showing faith in the bench though. That seems to help greatly.

That's a great point. Bonnell keeps talking about finding a smaller rotation and how that's a good thing. I disagree. If you have a bench that adds energy and keeps you in the game, you play them and rest the starters some. Its a long season and Crash playing >40 mins a night has to stop. I like getting Hendo, Hulk Jr, DJ, Flip and Brown some burn.

I'll tell ya what, as long as Tyson Chandler is playing this bad and starting we're going to struggle against teams with a good post up presence. We have no interior D at all. Tyson is a foul machine. He gets just as many fouls offensively as he does defensively it seems.
But right now, Wallace/Felton/Jackson are playing great. If a guy like Diaw or Flip can get it going as well then we'll be in position to win games. They stopped turning the ball over so much which is nice to see, so maybe they are turning this thing around. 9-11 is a nice record and we're looking like we could push this thing over .500 at some point which would by far be our best record this deep into the season. We'll see... I'm going to remain very skeptical until we're closer to the AS break - but I do have some hope now.

How long is Felton gonna be shooting FG's at a 43% clip with an almost 40% 3-point conversion rate?
How long can GWall go pulling down 13+ rebounds without killing himself?
Yeah. Me either.
I'm not hoping for much. Not yet.

Glass 1/3 full Fluffer!!
How long is Chandler going to keep picking up 2 fouls in less than 2 seconds?
How long is DJ going to keep looking like a little lost sheep?
How long is Diaw going to take to find his groove?
There is a lot more room for improvement than there is for people to drop off - if you catch my drift?

Uhm.
Drop off.
1) Wallace is injured and we lose like 20 points and 12 rebounds per contest. No-one can give those rebounds back, hustling. Points, maybe.
2) Nazr has playing extraordinary well. Per over 20. Monster
3) Felton goes back to his shooting, some braindead decisions.
But to be honest, we can go better (Chandler, Diaw, DJ) than we can go worse.
Future seems bright.

I think the bigger shift in my own psychology of the Bobcats is to just be hopeful for this season... following SJax I felt very low about the squad because I know we're going to be locked into some of these contracts forever, and the Okafor trade was looking especially stupid.
I've distanced myself from that line of thinking though, and I think we really can make the playoffs with the current team. I am not sure whether we should really expect a drop-off or a burst of awesome... we're probably an average team. Bad on offense, good on defense. In a few weeks, we'll have something statistically significant to look at, at the moment our perceptions can swing wildly on the basis of two games.

As long as Felton only takes shots where his feet are set and he is open/ready to shoot, I think he can maintain that percentage for the season. Its when he attempts the buzzer beater runners and off balance pull ups that he starts missing.

i agree about the bigger rotation. keep guys fresh. see who is hot. see who gels with who that night.
vs sixers LB went with hendo in the 4th, last night he went with nazr. just see who is playing well that night. we have lots of inconsistent guys so how can LB only play 8 guys.

I still believe, as I did at the beginning of the season, that we will make the playoffs. Worst case scenario is Crash getting hurt. You cannot teach effort and what he does is contagious! With this being said, I thought we were going to make the playoffs last year too, so only time will tell. I still have faith. Even if we do lose the next two games.
