"DJ's going to be fine, he's just struggling with his shooting right now," says Raymond Felton, Augustin's primary mentor on the team. "Other than that, he's going to be alright. He's a great player, and there's a reason he's in the league. He's just struggling like any other player in the league will struggle sometimes. I've been talking to him, everybody's been talking to him, and he's just got to continue to shoot because that's what he does best. Shooters have to shoot, and you can't care if you miss, just keep shooting when you're open. Even if you're 0-for-30, next time you get an open shot you have to shoot it. He'll be fine. He has guys who are here for him. I'm here for him, Coach is here for him, so he'll get out of his shooting slump and be fine."
