http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/insider/ ... art-091215The Future Power Rankings are ESPN Insider's projection of the on-court success expected for each team during the 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons. To sum it up, we're still dead last, but we do get this bit from Hollinger:
Enjoy your playoff games this year, Charlotte -- they may be your last for a while. At least someone believes we'll be a playoff team!

There's a lot of truth to what Hollinger and his cohorts are saying but I doubt anybody really buys into that crap. Who would have thought the Celtics would be where they're at now a few years ago.
And if we make the playoffs this year wont that change the market for us dramatically.
The worlds going to end in 2012 according to some genius prognosticators so there's no need to worry about Hollinger's predictions.

if we can make the playoffs with this team this year, there is no reason to think we cant do it again next year.
the bigger question, is this team capable of doing any better than a 6-8 seed in the next 2 years. i would say no.

That would require 1 or 2 things to happen:
1. we hit the jackpot in the draft
2. one of our current players buds into an all-star
There's also the possibility we land a guy via trade that is a disgruntled (Carlos Boozer) star on another team.
