Rod Higgins said "I don't know that a guy who is not playing in the NBA could come right in and give us impactful minutes."

Now Sean Williams is waived by the Nets, maybe he is someone who can be our backup PF and get coach from Larry Brown!?

Theres a big reason he was cut. He blows. Along with James White, and all other hopefuls that we wanted on draft nights the past 5 years that end up in the NBDL.

They just don't work out. So we can stop gaga'ing over them.

I can imagine Williams being the type of player that Brown would hate too.
My athleticism than brains.

Sounds like a guy well on his way to being Larry Brown's 2nd most important player!

Hint: He was waived by the Nets. The Nets. 09/10 Nets.

I doubt we sign him. Aren't we close to the luxury tax? I would imagine that signing a guy like SWAT would put us over - which we all know Top Bob isn't willing to do.

Do that and I fear his reaction would make Gilbert Areans look sane.

We're around 2 million under (just slightly less than 2 million I think)...but regardless I don't think we sign him either.

what could it hurt, if he works out great,we have a legit back up power forward,if he doesnt then we jus let him leave after the season.

A big waived by the Nets is all the reason not to sign him. And so when it happens, because it will, We shouldn't sign Shawne Williams either.

Doesn't Kiki Vandeweghe have ties to Larry Brown?

I'm pretty sure that if LB phoned Kiki (LB seems to phone all his old buddy's - like Pop with Raja and Jax etc) and said "do you think we should sign this kid" that Kiki would say "hellllllllllllllllllllllsssssssssss no" and that would be enough for LB not to go after him.
