S&T for Joe Johnson (at a fair price) for Crash and Gana.

Felts - JJ - Jax - Boris - TC
DJ - Flip - UPS - ? - Nazzy

How would he fit with Smoove and Marv already on the roster though?

Yeah, that's what I thought too. I don't think it'll be possible unless Marvin is traded.

i dont know why u would want crash....he is a shorter version of josh smith....playing with smith would most likely limit his effectiveness...now if you want to trade j-smooth...thats a trade i can get behind

Not much, in fact I bet he is in ATL next year...twice even.

I hate that this forum turns into NY talk radio WFAN style sometimes. Most NY radio callers: 'here is what we do and hows the Mets is gonna win the series dis year. I came up with dis while watching sportscenter in my mom's basement and I rans it bys my high school baseball coach how knows a guy that is an usher that sat Omar's family sos I know it will happen. This guy says Omar told him this deal WILL happen and he is going to make me part owner when it does. I don't knows if I wanna give up my part-time jig at the hair gel factory--fere samples save me $500 a month!! That is how I afford my tanning and 1984 Trans Am. It is a three way deal. We send Oliver Perez to the Marlins and Jeff Francour to the Cardinals and we get back Hanley Rameirez, Albert Pujols, Chris Carpenter and Matt Holiday. Best part, the marlins want to get rid of Hanley, the best player they have ever had and possibly the best player in the league, so badly that they are going to kick in $100mm to pay for his salary. My guy dat knows da the usher that seats Omar's family says dat the Marlins's money is gonna be used to get every TRUE fan, like me!, two bags cheetos and a hand job(FROM A WOMAN DIS TIME) at every game next season. Its gonnas happen, I knows it. Mark my words. Mets World Series Champions'

Can we seriously stop the INSANE and RANDOM trade stuff? It makes my head hurt.

I am from N.Y. and your right they are redicoulus people which is why I don't go back but so was that, It was just a random fan playing the wish game. It happens when a player gets popular. Sadly never happened here before so maybe your not used to it.

LOL everytown has them! I just happen to pick up WFAN 660 on my radio tuesday night after the Phoenix game and I heard some Mets fan talking about getting a bunch of different players for Jeff Francour. So that stuck in my head.

I have worked in Professional baseball for most of my adult life and I don't think most fans realize how untouchable the 'face of the team' type players truly are.

not quite true. about 3 years ago (when crash averaged 2 blocks/2 steals) we had so many posters coming to this board from other boards posting ridiculous wallace trades that i had to create a sticky called "WE DO NOT WANT TO TRADE WALLACE". i locked every trade thead. if they didnt post in the sticky thread it got locked. i dont miss that.

G. Wallace is the man and all but why does ATL need him. Seems like the last thing they need is another athletic wing. plus we're in the same division you know, i wonder how many trades in the history of the nba have happened between teams in the same division.

No it's not. It's a great trade. Have you seen Joe Johnson's smile? He has a wonderful smile.

We could really use his smile on this team.

haha, he must not know of SLAM's man crush on Joe Johnson.

Fun question... if you could trade one of our players for Joe Johnson but we had to take Richard Jefferson too... would you do it? :) (apologies if this makes your head implode slam)

He doesn't like to be challenged on anything so you will always get a silly reply from him.

Joe Johnson is a pretty great player... I guess we're **** on Slam because his trade had Gana going to ATL. Is it not reasonable to assume the only way we'd make a GW trade to a division rival would be because we'd be able to get an asset or get out of a bad contract?? Maybe the silly response is because of Mezo's inclination to overreact in an aggressive way?
