Acie Law on the move?

http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wireta ... _new_york/Two teams have reportedly inquired about Bobcats reserve guard Acie Law, according to a source close to the situation that spoke with Tommy Dee of TheKnicksBlog.
“One of them is definitely New York,” and the other team is “an Eastern Conference team as well,” says the source.
The source also believes that “it’s pretty clear” Law will be on the move.
Who'd you want from the Knicks?

There's absolutely nothing realistic we can do with the Knicks in a straight up deal unless it's like a 2nd rounder.
But no doubt we'll be getting something really good for AC Law!

We missed out on Carl, maybe they are targeting Marcus?

The other Eastern team interested would likely be one of the oft mentioned suspects looking for a PG; Orlando and Miami. We will get nothing but junk for Law, and I think he still needs some opportunities to show what he can do.
The talk surrounding both DJ and Law shows we are shopping them both and seeing what kind of deal we can craft for a PF.

Miami just signed Alston so they're probably out of the mix.
I figure Orlando and Bass have some legs:
Brandon Bass' agent will push for trade if playing time doesn't increase

Alex Kennedy: The New York Knicks have shown interest in Acie Law. The Indiana Pacers are the other team showing interest as the deadline approaches

Getting a PF for him would be nice (like Bass I guess), but to be honest, I would be stoked with a first round pick between 20-30 in the upcoming draft in return for Acie.
That would be the best result IMO.

Hansbrough is out with an ear infection or something - isn't he?

Yeah, and has been for a while.
I can't imagine anyone giving up a late 1st for AC Law much less any rotational PF unless the other team is dumping salary.
Be nice if I'm wrong tho.

Thanks for that...now I'm doubting that we could get a 2nd.

Went to espns trade machine to try and prove your statement wrong, yeah it would have to be a 3 team trade. Minnesotas Ryan Gomes is a guy I think this team could use. Of course I have no idea what the Knicks have (Or Bobcats too, I guess) that the Timberwolves want. At the start of the season I thought Minnesota would've been a good spot for Darko, but hes pretty much given up on NBA Basketball.
Of course I also thought Pavlovic would be able to "stat pad" with the Wolves. Hes playing the worst NBA ball hes ever played on the worst team hes ever played for. I don't honestly know whats worse; Nick Anderson playing 29 minutes a game over 72 games (all starts) and putting up these numbers (99-00 here
http://www.nba.com/playerfile/nick_anderson/ ) or what Pavlovic is doing this year.

Adding Minnesota (3 team trade) to get Gomes, who I'm guessing the Bobcats or Knicks would need to take on filler, which led to their crap players, which always leads to Pavlovic (briefly Former Bobcat Pavlovic) which leads to other players who've had crappy all-of-a-sudden seasons which always leads to Nick. Think 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon...I was bored as well.

D.J. for Jordan Hill or if Knicks just want more cap room Law for him.
I think Law and D.J. for Bass works.
