Diaw is very inconsistent and is playing out of position. I think Jackson's presence also reduces his touches. Diaw's game and confidence seem to flow from him getting alot of touches and that is not happening.

Honestly, I do not think Diaw is a good fit for the team. We need a more typical 4. Diaw would be great as a 6th man 3 coming off the bench but to get minutes in this role we'd have to sit Wallace and we would lose much with Wallace sitting it wouldn't be worth bringing Diaw on but to rest Wallace (and he does not ever seem to need rest).

Diaw had several opportunities to shoot the ball last night including about 4 wide open threes but instead choose to dribble and dish. He started drawing boos from the crowd.

What do you guys believe the chances are that he gets traded before the deadline?

i think the chances just went up about 50%. he has been awful the past 3 games. last night was ridiculous. ive been trying to give diaw the benefit of the doubt for a long time, but i just cant support him any longer. its clear that he is mentally not the same player. he is second guessing every time he is in a position to shoot. its painful to watch. the crowd last night was getting fed up with his antics. he is very close to getting some serious boo treatment from the home fans. im sure LB is working higgins like a mad man in an attempt to get another pf on the roster.

i hadnt seen that clip of jrich getting blocked on the 360 attempt. thats hilarious.

did you guys see that blurb from bonnell's observations where he said that he thinks LB has given up on trying to convince diaw to shoot. since when did LB ever give up teaching players the "right way"?

I don't think this is a right way thing as much as it is just shoot when you are open. You can't say that but so many times before you realize it won't happen.

They have to be watching game tape as a team and Boris has to realize how wide open he is and right at the rim and wonder why himself he isn't taking the shots and had bad it is for the team?

Who ever thought in this day and age of the NBA that fans of a team would be angry at one of their players not taking enough shots rather than taking too many?

Funny.

i just dont understand why LB does sit boris on the bench the next time he passes up open shots. tell him "boris, you arent going to play if you keep passing up open shots. i know you are trying to be unselfish, but you are hurting the team by passing up those shots"

paul silas (not that i am a big fan of his) used to bench guys for passing up open shots. and they eventually got the message.

when you only have 24 seconds to shot (16 if you take away the time to get into the frontcourt) you dont have time to pass up those shots.

and its not really the open 3s (and long jumpers) that he refuses to take that are the issue. LB doesnt want his team to settle for jumpers and neither do i. the problem is when boris penetrates into the lane and is wide open from 10 feet (and in) and the forces a pass to someone under the basket or kicks it back out to the 3pt line. thats the problem. OR when he is posting up and the ball goes into him in the post and he doesnt get doubled, he needs to look for his shot. usually that is the best look we will get in a possession. but he'll pass it back to the 3pt line before he even thinks about looking to score. thats the problem.

Diaw was already being benched back in Atlanta for not taking shots and it didn't make a difference. The guy seems stubborn. But that doesn't explain it all.

Well, I am glad to see people are coming around about how much Diaw does not deserve the minutes he gets and we need a real 4.
