Nice! This season has really been great for Gerald. :D

On a side note. DJ Augustin is out. Brook Lopez is in. :(

Wallace has a unique style of play that could make him valuable to team USA. however, there are plenty of young small/power forwards ahead of him.

Great reward for Crash.

So that makes EO50, DJ and now Crash as Bobcats who were invited. Solid return.

In other news: Durant is going to be un-freaking-stoppable at the international level.

Awesome. Hopefully he makes the team. It would be nice to see Crash competing at international level.

Defensively, he makes a lot of sense for this team for a couple of reasons. They play pressing M2M defense and gamble for steals which fits well with Crash. They also like playing small as i recall, and I believe Lebron and Carmelo both played a lot of PF in the last Olympics, Bosh and or Boozer were the backup Centers, this also fits well with Crash.

Offensively, he isn't the best fit as IMO guys that move with out the ball and shoot do better than slashers in the international game.

I don't think that he is one of the 12 best American players right now, but neither was Tayshaun Prince last time and he made the roster...

I could see him being a fantastic spark off the bench. Looking at the way Team USA initiated the break last time I could really see Crash getting out in the open floor and cashing in.

It would be a great advantage for us too. To have Crash working out and playing with those guys? It would really help with his passing game too.

You know... I think it's good for Gerald in that he's finally getting recognition for his on court talents but at the same time he's never been a durable guy so I wonder how this extra wear and tear is going to affect him.

He's known to shut it down over the summer and not really do anything at all, so I actually think that being in a program like this will help his game as well as his duribility more than hamper it.
