Wiz Fan Here

What do you guys know of the DJ for Blatche trade? I think our paper broke the story but Ive heard from some Bobcats people that maybe it was you guys asking us or maybe its not true at all but our paper I think just yesterday say they still confirmed that it was true that we offered him straight up for DJ and you guys said NO. Ive been on a few Cats sites since the day the story 1st came out and I think its been about 60/40 in favor of keeping DJ. Even the 40 who wanted Blatche seemed to think that he has upside but will probably only be solid and Ive seen alot of people say that they dont think he is better than Jason Thompson and maybe not even Diaw. I was a big DJ fan coming out of the draft and he was my #1 guy for the Wiz to pick at our spot but we went with McGee who most hadent even heard of but ofcourse Im glad that he did as he also looks promosing. I also saw that some of you said that you would much rather have McGee. You guys got Tyrus who fits your system very well. I really like your club as Ive always been a big fan of guys like Wallace & Jackson who are very tough players even though I still want to kill Wallace since Gil basically hasnt really played since that injury, lol

The main reason why I came here is just to hear your thoughts on the trade because I was so shocked that you guys said NO like that so quickly, atleast thats the way it sounded from the story. The Wiz fans thought it was so dumb and half of them wanted to trade blatche for something else. Not me as I thought once he got a real shot then he would produce. Now its been 4 games since the trade and he's averaging 25 & 10.25 with like 2ast, 1.5blks, and 1.5spg in I think about 34mpg. Another criticism Ive seen on him from the Cats fans was that he takes bad shots and is a perimiter guy but I think alot of that was just due to him having to play with ball hogs like AJ. In these 4 games he's scored most of them on the block with a variety of post moves, only takes like 1 bad shot per game, and looks like one of the most complete bigs in the leauge.

IDK how many of them have size, can play D, rebound, has a soft J with long range, has top notch handles for a big, loves to pass & can do it very well, has great post moves, and nice quickness. He really can do it all. Defense with an inside/outside game. His only 2 flaws that some people still think he has is explosion & strength as they think he can get more muscular but he's been backing guys down with ease and finishes well around the rim. I just see you guys being straight beast if you had him starting at the 4 right now and I know he wouldve played this same exact way because he wouldve looked at it like he's getting a shot and thats all he wanted

I wonder if Blatche's previous off court issues as well as the talk of him being a locker room distraction at times with a questionable work ethic might have raised a massive red flag for Larry Brown?

DJ and Flip
for
Blatche and Nick Young

would have been nice for us IMO.

yeah, I heard that couldve been the problem also but trust me from someone in that area. Most of that stuff has been way overblown. He's just been super frustrated because the team is losing, the young guys get alot of the blame, yet they never get to play much. I think he just wanted a real chance and always got frustrated how its just like the same thing over & over again. Now he's getting it and everyone is suddenly talking about how mature he is and all that stuff
