Crazy idea to win games

Post#1 » by Dexmor » Fri Mar 5, 2010 4:44 am

Start Thomas and D.J.
D.J. is a player who just needs confidence and to get a rythem. He gets that getting the nod. He can score and shoot. Ray can't really shoot as good as him. If we can get last years DJ back that would take pressure off everybody. He is also a better passer/playmaker.

Also lets start the pf who is our third best player and our best young future player right now. He could easily be giving us 15 10 3.

Mike Beasley gets 6 boards a game and Barkley said to Kenny what do you call a pf who grabs 6 a game? A Small Forward. Seriously we need scoring and rebounding and better defense. DJ can possible help with scoring Ty helps with everything else.

Inject the youth.

Felton and Diaw would be great off the bench. Espially with Ty here were gonna have to pay him which means by by Felton.

He is fond of Dj?????

The one thing I have noticed about Larry Brown he is very set in his ways. He doesn't seem to mix up his rotations to much, even if the 5 players on the floor are getting flogged.

Diaw will likely start at Pf for the rest of the year.

I bet that he is much more fond of Felts than DJ, due to defence.

Felts has proven, for this season at least, that he is shooting the rock better than DJ is. Felts has also developed that nice mid range game (the floater, the pull up) this season which DJ showed at Texas but hasn't found in the NBA yet.

DJ might end up being the better shooter/scorer between the two, but that isn't the case this season.

I've never seen a poster more all over the place than you Dex. There's a post by you a few pages down wanting to get rid of DJ for 2 cents on the dollar and proclaiming Felton should be our superstar and deserves $8+mil/yr. Do you realize you do this? lol

haha I'm not trying to be a dick or anything. But if you bounce around in your opinions that much nobody is going to take you seriously. It's kind of campaigning for one candidate, and then they win but things don't go so great you turn around and say we're crazy for not voting for the other guy.

I am glad I am not the only one that noticed this. I thought I was being overly critical.

I realize this and Felton is still my favorite Bobcat but the reason I have been all over the place is so have the bobcats. So has Felton and DJ.

i get that felton has been in a bit of a slump the past month, going 7 games w/out a hammer and not really impacting the team the way he was in december and january... but to say that dj has been in a slump would be putting it nicely. over the past 11 games (feb and march) dj is shooting LESS THAN 30% FROM THE FIELD. take a minute to let that sink in. less than 30%. even our favorite whipping boy adam morrison never had a month, while in charlotte, where he shot THAT poorly.

dj has played exactly one good quarter (as far as i can remember) in the past month (against boston in the 2nd quarter).

this reminds me of when ammo was here me me and coolio and the other ammo lovers would get all jacked up when ammo would come in a game and score 10 points in a quarter, yet he would still finish the game 4-13. we would give him bronze hammers and proclaim he was turning the corner. in reality, he still shot poorly and played bad defense but our expectations were so low that anything positive seemed like an all-star performance.

so... lets not get carried away by dj's one good quarter in the past month. he's gonna have to play that way for a long stretch before anyone should even remotely consider the idea of wanting him as a starting pg.

i am encouraged by his recent sign of life, but i am also still very skeptical.

as for thomas starting... he is still doing fine off the bench. most teams go big to start games so having a center like theo in there for the first 6 mins of each half is smart. otherwise diaw and thomas will simply pick up stupid early fouls while trying to bang with guys like haywood and perkins.

the problem that i see is not who is starting vs who is coming off the bench. the problem is larry not adjusting during the games and changing his rotations to add hot players or remove cold players. its starting to really annoy me. he may be the greatest teacher of the game that ever lived, but i do not think he is a fantastic coach in terms of in-game adjustments or at least i havent seen it with our team.

I told you guys, Tyrus and DJ didn't start but they played huge and were much more of a factor then Felton and Diaw and were the reason they won. That and of course Jackson and Wallace.
Im telling you demoting Felton could make his value go down so maybe we can afford him and more importantly they don't have a shot without a scoring pg and that is D.J. They also don't have a shot without Tyrus playing as a budding star.
When those 2 things happen the Bobcats are awesome, have a legit 1-2-3 plus D.J. as a great 4th.
Also I know it's 1 game but Gerald's got D and a jumper. All Graham has is D and a jumper so I would play Gerald more. See what he has.

Graham should only come into games if we have a huge lead against a team with a dominating scorer like a kobe or dwade, and should come in when Jax is resting for his D, he shouldn't be put in a close game or come back situation, Hendo could be formed into our the next flip if we are gonna be cheap and not sign hughes
