We need to do our part and buy tickets and

Bobcats merchandise. When it comes down to it we have all the power. Charlotte once lead the league in attendence. Bring the fans back.

Making the playoffs will do it, when bobcats were first made they were highly unmarketable, from the jerseys to the merchandise to the original court colors, now our merchandise is decent, our jerseys actually look good and are reminiscent of the 90's hornets, and our court is one of the best in the league, if we change our name to the Flight next season we will be even more marketable, but the city of Charlotte fans are fickle for the most part and only support winners, so if we make the playoffs, you should be seeing sell out crowds next year unless we revert to complete ass.

I don't know if changing the name now will be a good idea. If they make it fight, people will just say it's because of air jordan anyway. Of course if they did make it the Charlotte Flight (sounds like an NBDL team) then they would have to make the colors Carolina Blue which would cause its own controversy haha.

I think the tweaks they did this past year are good for a while if you ask me. The pinstripes are awesome, I particularly like the white home jerseys, and I'm glad they ditched those horrendous multi-color orange/black/gray/blue jerseys.

They could try going for a road alternate one day being either Orange or Gray but with the pinstripes.

good intentions dex, but i dont think the people on this board are the problem. we are all die hard fans, buy merchandise and go to games (for those of us that are lucky enough to be in close enough radius to charlotte).

its the fringe fans that you need to convince to buy stuff.

i know i try to talk about the bobcats all the time to my fringe fans. i give away my tix when i am not going to my fringe fans. slowly i am getting my old hornets fans turned into bobcats fans, but its been a long process.

I know it's not you guys. It's really the unc/duke fans. they need to come back.
As for the name, the Flight isn't bad.
The Dragons aren't bad.
Dobermins would be good.
Airman.

Flight doesn't sound like a dleague name. Dleague names are the defenders and stuff like that.

speaking of names... i dont know why d-league names have some a bad connotation. i love the random d-league names. they are unique and interesting and usually tell you something about the area. red claws is an awesome name.

Dragons would be awesome, me and my friend who is a casual basketball fan were talking about that on friday. Jerseys could have small scale designs instead of pinstripes that you only really notice up close but see a weird shimmer from far away. A robot dragon could fly around the arena breathing fire (he was talking about going to an Atlanta Thrashers game and they had fire breathing creatures there that went off during the intro and when goals were scored). There were some other great ideas, but I don't remember (we were drinking, if that had to be said).

Well, I am doing my part as I agree with slam..this board aint the problem. If you are spending time on a message board reading about the 10th player on the bench and which plays need to be tweeked etc, you buy tickets and merch.

Attendence has been increasing a lot. The same thing happened last season when the Bobcats were geting close to making the playoffs. The games were packed and the place was rocking...then the horses came to town. LOL.

Tuesday's miami game had 18,500 plus in attendence and they were not there to see Wade. The Miami game earlier this year looked like it was a Vanilla Ice concert. It was on a weds and there were 14,000 in the cable box. Well, that was the announced number, but that place was EMPTY!

Charlotte loves a winner. I would bet friday will be 18000 plus as will OKC if the winning continues at an ok pace.

We are actually pretty easy to tell apart.

I'm the more handsome and charming one.

Fats is the more dim witted and slow one.
