@adfleischer: A source close to Larry Hughes says it looks like he will sign with the Bobcats in the next day or two.

I agree. Guess we just needed to make sure we did not sign him before the finger healed to make sure there was no complications with the healing. Makes good sense.

If Crash is out for a couple of games I wonder if LB would be tempted to start Hughes once he blows the rust off or if he would just go with Hulk?

Ratliff, Diaw, Wallace, Jackson, Felton

Chandler, Thomas, Hughes, Augustin

Not bad, not bad at all.

If the finger is fine, I would try Hughes.

Ya. The move would really balance out the roster IMO.

That't why a lot of us were down when it was reported we weren't going to sign him because of his finger.

A guy like Hughes would help a guy like Hulk too. Hulk isn't a bad spot up shooter. If Hughes can drive, have the D collapse on him and kick to the open Hulk, he will get better looks at shots and more space to jam-a-lama-ding-dong too.

He'd have to get his game fitness up, but I assume knowing the plays wouldn't be too much of an issue.

That said, it might be best to use him in our 2nd unit to strengthen that a little more while Hulk moves to the starting line up?

Our line up with G-Wall out should be

Theo/Nazr( when he comes back)
Tyrus
Diaw
Jax
Felton

Graham should see no where near starting minuites, he needs to stay his ass on the bench, Tyrus is more of a starter then he is

Not really. GH is still inconsistent with his play especially with his jumper. And besides, Hughes can also play the PG, which we all know that LB wants to have 3 guys in the roster who can play the PG.

Who would back up the 4 spot?

UPS, UPS is the same player Tyrus is but shorter, I think UPS is a better player and should be used more in the rotation then graham, dude is a liability offensively, he should only be brought on the court for defensive adjustments

Wait a minute.

Some dude named Adam Fleischer is reporting this via Twitter? He's just an assistant editor at SLAM Magazine?

Is there anything a little more solid to base this rumor on other than a tweet from a junior scrub at a rag mag?

Is Ratliff going to start from here on out? When will Mohammad be back? Can Chandler reclaim that starting spot?

Hopefully not Chandler is good with the 2nd unit and when Nazr comes back I hope Theo can play a combo of PF/C minutes off the bench

Yeah seriously slam but lets say it is true that could mean the Bobcats have a real chance to advance in the playoffs. More importantly if Wallace is out for a week we will be fine.

Also we would be so deep. We would have added this year Jackson-Chandler-Tyrus-Hughes.

Tyson-Theo
Diaw-Tyrus
Wallace-Brown-Hulk
Jackson-Hughes-Henderson
Felton-D.J.

That is a deep stacked team.
