show HULK some love!!!

Post#1 » by fatlever » Thu Mar 18, 2010 2:37 am

dude has been awesome starting for crash. there is a reason henderson is behind him in the rotation. larry hughes might not see the floor if HULK keeps playing like this.

HULK has taken a lot of heat this season, most of it unwarranted. its time we tell HULK we are sorry.

post any awesome HULK or graham pics in his honor. HULK must be remembered.

HULK! executing the sickest cross in the league!

Or maybe he fell down on this play, I don't remember...

In any case: 2 years, 2.5 million?

seriously though, if Hulk could consistently produce like this whilst coming off the bench, we probably wouldn't need Hughes. He has been super efficient while defending well.

Unfortunately that hasn't been the case so far this year. Lets hope he has somehow turned the corner and we will continue to see him do his thing.

Great job Mr. Hulk! Agree he's been inconsistent to this point, but glad to see him stepping up in these key moments. I also wonder what effect Hughes will have. I was sort of glad we signed him, but you begin to wonder if we've grabbed 1 too many head cases? Still, you can never have too much talent on a team going into the playoffs. Agree that Henderson is raw and not close to producing at the level we can get from Graham. When LH is aboard, couold GH be inactive?
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Hulk has been bringing it, his aggression has been the key. Like last night, he got the ball in position and didn't hesitate - went right for the rim before OKC had a chance to think about defending him. Not to mention he's hitting jumpers and not making any big mistakes. It'd be a pleasant surprise to have him continue to play like this after Wallace returns. Having this sort of production from the bench makes us that much more dangerous.

The question is, will LB forget about him?

I still die a little on the inside any time Hulk attempts something even remotely fancy - like dribble the ball behind his back - but when he keeps it simple and in "Hulk Smash" mode, he is very effective and always has been.

Not to say that he wont see some minutes at the 2, but I think Hughes was signed first and foremost for his ability to function as backup point guard insurance in the event Felton or DJ would go down.

I like Graham alot but I think your taking what his play means for us wrong. It doesn't mean Hughes doesn't get pt it means we can trade Henderson. He is the odd man out. We can use Hendo in so many deal options. The Nazr-D.J.-Hendo for Ford. We can package Hendo and a contract we don't like for cap relief from a team under the cap. Things like that.
Hughes is a backup 1-2-3.
Plus imagine Wallace and Jack had to miss a game or 2? Wouldn't it be nice to put in Hughes and Graham to back play?

I'm not saying the Hughes signing is a bad one, Hulks play for the last 2 games has been awesome, but overall his season has been pretty mediocre.

Nazr, Dj and Hendo for Ford???? Seriously Dex? I wouldnt even consider them our "bad" contracts.

WOW that is a horrid horrid horrid horrid horrid horrid horrid horrid horrid trade, trading 1 Good center 1 servicable PG, and a SG that has yet to show his potential for a scrub that is a headcase and quits on his team? dude stop it please

Diop and DJ for Hibbert and Ford would be better IMO

Except for Diop, we dont really have bad contracts. Right now. Some players may get worse with their aging but right now we basically have next year expirings or reasonable or even better contracts. We could argue about Diaw but I dont want to go there with anyone of the starting five (although with current economic situation his contract is bound to get pretty bad one day if he underperforms which is - as we all know - not out of question).

And to be on topic, Hulk to be unleashed:

aka if you are a hardworker and not insane in the membrane, you just need to listen to Larry and get better
