I found a way to circumvent this (Please Use More Appropriate Word) format on the NHL and NFL forums. It shows the older RGM format and not this one.

Also...
For me, it's harder to distinguish the stickied topics from the normal ones.

This is what the new forum is, its the new basketball the league tried to make the nba players use, it eventually got returned to the old one and we can only hope that is the case with this forum.

Agreed, it did take me a while to recognize the new "icons", and I still don't see what the icons are supposed to be
I think for this, we just have to try and get used to it... I would have preferred if the icons were more indicative of what the thread was. For example, we used to have a pin on the stickied threads. Right now, I don't know what the icon is supposed to be.

A lot of these posts bug me, if you see someone has said the same thing you're going to say already why say it? It has it's kinks, things will all get worked out.

Re: Welcome To The New Forum
One suggestion to the people in charge -
why not switch to vBulletin? Being a webmaster myself, vBulletin is more advanced when compared to phpBB3, sure you have to pay for it, but it will make a lot of people happy as opposed to right now. The phpBB3 product is still a work in progress, bugs will be there, and you will end up spending a lot of time fixing certain bugs. A forum of this size should be well handled by vBulletin, plus it's a complete product with amazing support, which means you won't have to spend hours trying to make your own custom modifications like you have to do now with the the quotations and quick reply (though the latter might just be a quick additional mod fix away)

Yes folks, above sig/tweet is real!
When asked about the state of his groin injury, Primoz Brezec had the following observation: "The groin is a gangster."

Re: Welcome To The New Forum
I loved the old set-up and I think this just makes things more complicated. Of course we can get use to it, but I'd rather keep the old set-up if it means we can't handle the traffic on the boards on draft day.

I like phpBB3 on smaller boards, but it looks terrible here. I've been browsing for a while and decided to join, but this certainly isn't a great format to post in.
Downgrading would certainly be beneficial...

Re: Welcome To The New Forum
You guys have to remember the sheer size of this board. You can't do a complete upgrade all at once. The basics have been done and now there will be many other changes/tweaks. A lot of it won't be done until after the draft.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Yea I Hate the new set-up as well. Quick reply was my favorite part of the posting world. Plus its not that easy on the eyes. Sure the old set-up did'nt have all the special perks but it was what I was used to and Happy with sometimes change is good but for me this is'nt a good change. The older page was much clearer.

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks
