Protecting Your Account

RealGM Users,
It is a good idea to change your password regularly, about every 3 months. This is a good general practice for preventing unauthorized access to any account you have. If you haven't done this recently, now would be a good time to do it. Just go to the upper right-hand corner of the page, pull down your username, then select Preferences, then tab over to Profile, then select Edit account settings, and scroll down to create a new password. Thank you.

Glad this post was created. I'd like to add, using a solid browser like Brave with all shields up will remove the unwanted pop-ups and misdirects. Be safe out there.

If we’re talking security, is it possible to enable 2FA with email?

If we are talking about security, maybe realgm should stop allowing side loading of javascript that can click-jack most browsers.
Even a basic CSP implemented by realgm would improve security significantly.
Laughable that someone representing realgm is making this post suggesting user password rotation is a priority while the site willingly allows unsafe javascript injection.

Seriously. This site is absolute trash and there's no way they don't know what is going on.

Is there any thought being put in to upgrading this forum software to something more modern?
All due respect but the forum seems to look the same since 2005.

You probably know so much more about website security than they do that they don't know that there's something that they don't know. That's not confusing is it? They probably still have a webmaster. Nobody has those anymore right? Or are they just called something else these days?

What's wrong with looking the same?

It's not about the look. It's about having some updated software for ease of use.
And it would be nice to not have emojis from 2001.

I asked someone as well and they couldn’t login. There’s something going on

I don't know if it was then that it happened, but I couldn't access the site over my WIFI for awhile. First I tried other browsers, then I was gonna try my PC, but before I did that, I switched to mobile data and I was able to access the site. I never tried my PC, but it connects wirelessly, so it probably wouldn't have worked.

The site went down again LAST NIGHT. And NOBODY was in the Raptors' game thread. One that is usually very active. I suspect it was down earlier so usual posters stopped coming back. The site's server is just aging and broken. They need to move onto something more stable or people will go elsewhere. Where do you guys go that's not reddit?

The Knicks forum has not been easy to use over the past weeks.
