3 rookies and Bilal as a second-year player who just turned 20 three months ago. Two starters were age 19, two were age 20.

(To be fair, Kyshawn George only started because of a Kyle Kuzma injury. He normally comes off the bench.)

Their best bet is to do what they have been doing and hope to develop some young players.

I am taking The Wizards future (provided they don't WIz it up and trade their young studs for washed vets) over Philly's.

The Process Failed, the Embiid era will ultimately prove ringless.

The Paul George signing already looks like one massive cap eating mistake.

Morey has never proven he can build a legit championship contending team. I am kinda hoping the Lakers can poach him to replace Pelinka.

Philly have literally one of the grimmest futures in the NBA I am sorry to say.

Do better. You are certain that George's contract was a mistake, even though he has not played a single game. In my opinion, Morey made a great move by effectively trading Harden + Tucker for George and picks, which was even more better than the initial trade of dumping Simmons on the Nets for Harden.

Maybe it's just me but I look at the roster and say despite being dealt a bad hand, Morey has made a number of wise decisions to free up cap space to sign George and sort of gain assets out of nothing. I am pretty content with Morey and the direction of the Sixers. Would I much rather be in the Celtics position? Of course, but no Sixer fan is like, ****, I wish we were Washington with all those assets. Get out of here with that nonsense.

People esp the media would be far more bullish on the Wiz and their future if they took the time to watch their games in the 2nd half of last season (especially after dumping Kuzma and bringing in Smart and Middleton)

Their first half of the season was bad simply because they arguably fielded one of the youngest and rawest squads in NBA history (at some point starting 4 rookies)

They managed some unexpected and memorable wins along the way (such as beating Denver and The Lakers away)

Sarr was arguably better than advertised as a rookie and despite being screwed in the lotto, I can the Wiz winning 30 or so games next season and on an upwards trajectory.

I am going to keep a keen eye on the Wiz Kids next season, they will surprise a lot.

If the Wizards wanted to, they could try and get to 30 wins. However, with their 2026 pick being only top 8 protected and owed to the Knicks (otherwise it turns into a 2026 2nd and a 2027 2nd), they will tank hard next year to ensure that the pick does not convey.

The Hornets have a legitimate talent, but selecting Salaun instead of Clingan was a mistake imo.

I guess Mark Williams is fine, but you have to be concerned for the injury. I think Clingan will have a longer career, though.

Otherwise they have Miller and LaMelo, Bridges, who knows what the future could be.

I voted Wizards, though, because I think the two potential of a Sarr and Coulibaly pairing, tied with solid guys like Carrington, George, Kispert, Johnson, etc. seem to be more intriguing in terms of potential.

They really need a new coach, though.

Selecting Salaun is why I have no belief in this team’s future. That is easily the worst top 6 draft pick of the past decade. He has probably the lowest feel for the game I’ve ever seen in an NBA game.

Hornets organization is farther along because they have their stars that they can build around (they need a healthy season for both of them), and once Wizards find their identity and have internal growth from their young guys, think they can be very good, however they need a more cohesive team.
