Yeah, People look at dollars and think "OMG he should be playing a fifth of Jokic!"

Good value contract, if it hits, sweet, doesnt because the knee is ultimately cooked, cut him and doesn't hurt you long term. If he out-performs you still in the best position to offer him more then other teams.

Literally paying him 1/17th of the cap. What else do they want? pay Royce O'Neil 80M over 4 years ? I can think of 3 worse contract signings in the last 18 months the Bulls have done alone

You could probably fill this thread with just Bulls transactions across the board.

Wow, just cut him, that simple eh,? when they just guaranteed 10 Mil this coming season? :banghead:
Lonzo is so desperate to find a sucker to sign him that he resorted to an EXPERIMENTAL surgery because EVERY PROCEDURE have failed. And even if he miraculously get healed from this, are you aware that this guy has also missed a TON of games because of MANY issues with other body parts?

Who else could the Bull's FO could have signed for 10 Mil?
Tyus Jones, a real PG who could play next to a shoot first guard like White?
actual shooters next to a non floor spacer like Giddey like Malik Beasley, Grimes, Holiday, Burks, Dinwiddie, Hardaway, Connaughton, Seth Curry.
Defenders like Bruce Brown, Nickeal Alexander Walker, Gary Harris, Javonte Green, etc etc.
These guys are not allstars but they will probably NOT MISS games unlike Lonzo.

Issac came back 2024 and was a monster defensively, people were asking why is he only playing 15-20MPG when hes one of the best defenders in the league.

getting a dude who was a 6th man of the year for bench player money is fine, his contract is movable

It doesnt squeeze any of their core guys out Nor effected them in landing a potential big contract to trade for. His 4 points 5 boards doesnt do anywhere near justice of his defensive presence out on the court. He was dissapointing this season yes, But a bad FO move? its one of the better ones

Wow Isaac a Defensive Monster, who never averaged more than 16 mins RS minutes even when Mo Wagner tore his ACL last December.
If he was such a defensive force then how come he even played LESS MINUTES in the last playoffs? games that mattered most and he averaged less than 14 minutes? :banghead:

1. Everything Sacramento has done. They managed to turn a young, high-ceiling team into bottom dweller with no immediate upside.

The Kings haven't been bottom dwellers in 4 seasons.
3 playoff/play in seasons in a row. Winning seasons, win Pacific Division a few seasons ago.
Just slightly under .500 (40-42) last season.

The bottom dwellers in the West in recent yrs have been Jazz, TBlazers, Spurs etc

Fair enough. I'm not convinced they'll be better than any of those teams outside the Jazz next season, but it's fair to wait and see what happens.

After a rough first year or two Billups is doing a pretty good job in Portland :dontknow:

One might say this is hindsight but I always felt PG13 to the Sixers was a huge risk so I'm adding that one.

Only disagree with this one from your post. Big pay but I think he'll fit there very well.

That said, I might agree only to say that Orlando was insane in the MEMBane.

You're having an irrational meltdown over a small contract that the Bulls have control over.

The Bulls brought him along slowly to ease him back in, he'll ramp up this season.

Again it's a low risk/high reward situation not worthy of the meltdown you've produced.

Cut him next season. Second year is a team option.
Tyrus Jones was playing as a backup to a two way contract guy last season.
You also just named a bunch of players who are out-performing their current contract and will get more then 10m next season. Why didn't Beasley/Grimes/Harris/Green get more last season? Because they weren't worth it. Hell and Connonoughton can't even play nowadays.

Literally said he was disappointing this season but was great the year before. Did you read what I said or looking at box scores and comparing different situations out of any sort of context?
