They could easily trade for guys like Giannis, KD, etc.

But the days of building super teams is gone.

Depth is what wins games in today’s era.

Unfortunately their dynasty will be about back to back deep playoff runs being 'what-if' once their star player went down due to injuries.

even if Haliburton didn't get injured, I would say there is parity in the top 4-5 teams next year. I mean Boston would have been the sure bet but with Tatum out and Boston listening to offers for White and Brown, it could change in a year or 2.

Knicks, Magic, Cavs look like the top 3 right now (in no particular order) Both Boston and Pacers could be from 4-12. so who knows. East is the wild wild west atm. even if the top 3 stay at the top, no guarantees they come out of the East.

there was unlikely going to be a pacer dynasty, and now that chance is effectively zilch because their medical staff gambled on a Halliburton's "calf strain" and lost. He will need surgery and will be out 18 months and never be the same again. Shame! They should fire their entire medical staff!

No Hali for potentially a year plus is rough.

How do you know how that went down?

Hali and others might have went against the medical team.

Everyone knows that playing with a calf strain puts you at high risk for an Achilles tear. I'm sure the medical staff told him that.

I'm not giving up on the dynasty yet. Sure, they're still stuck on zero titles and their best player will likely miss all next season, but starting 2027, the league should be put on notice, the dynasty begins then.

Making a thread about a potential dynasty for a team that had a magical run but talent wise is below a couple of teams is hilarious.

Over the course of multiple seasons talent will win out.

They’re a well coached team with some talented players and really tough role players but nothing about them screamed dynasty.

Dynasty of what... choking in the Finals? We'll probably never see them make it that far again, at least for the foreseeable future.
