i dont have all the details on this transaction yet, but Walker already had 26% ownership. And after this, Buss fam retains 15% ownership. The 10B number is the total team valuation at the sale price, but Walker can be buy *at most* 59% right now, so we are really talking aboot 5.9B at most changing hands.

Well it may not be all Walker's money.

He has Abu Dhabi backing and those ME sovereign wealth funds want to get their hands on all the American and European sports teams.

Yeah Wyc has been a fantastic owner over his tenure, and hopefully Chisholm continues it by not messing with the structure. But the Lakers spending money on beefing up their basketball operations and becoming the dodgers of the nba will be pretty scary for the other 29 franchises trying to attract free agents
