i don't think there will be any serious issues from this. for comparison, jordan addison in the nfl was going 140 in a 55 zone in 2023, plead guilty to speeding but the reckless driving charge was dismissed and he ended up with like a $700 fine. he played 2 seasons while the legal stuff worked out and now that it's settled 2 years later he's awaiting any punishment from the league, if there is any.

"conduct detrimental to the league" is usually the reason for suspension but i doubt edey's action qualifies because he's not a big media draw.

EDIT: forgot about addison's suspicion of DUI arrest in 2024 and that's what he's awaiting possible suspension from the league for.

I mean what else should he done, there are no pictures or anything, he quoted the most important part and linked article if you want to read fully. This probably does not deserve a thread to be honest, and title is clickbaity maybe, and I clicked thinking I will see Edey running drills or smth, would not have clicked if it was just Zach Edey gets speeding ticket, but whatever. I saw a story and moved on, no need to attack OP IMO.

This is the sort of thing you use the Report function for, my dude. If the mods find it an issue, they'll do something about it. Otherwise, you're just derailing the thread.

"Post too-relevant because it just contains informational content about an nba player"
"Post title classified as clickbait because it doesn't meet my personal expectation of what speed should be describing; even though it is completely accurate to mention speed in relation to him going 50 over"

I dunno, man, but we arent talking about Zach Edey, and we should be. Board mods can be PM'd for answers about that stuff.
