Siakam has been the guy who has performed well in the largest amount of games.
Hali having that one massive stinker has deflated his numbers. It sucks because it was clearly due to injury. If he had a massive game 7, he could still grab this. Offensively he is the focal point, and sometimes the focal point can play badly due to being the focus of the defense, but the attention they get is still what unlocks looks for others.
Nembhard is my favorite. His defense on SGA has been jaw dropping, and offensively he's been their glue guy decision maker. A huge part of Indiana's offense is being able to swing the ball to Nembhard for weakside pick & rolls when the opponent pays too much attention to Haliburton. I doubt the press goes with an 11ppg, 3apg FMVP though.
TJ's game 6 put him on the map, but he's been extremely consistent this series.

Nembhard??? Why are we acting like SGA is getting locked up or something? He's averaging 31/5/5/2/2 on 59% TS lol Nembhard hasn't done a damn thing to slow him down. The only thing I remember Nembhard doing is throwing the game away in the 4th quarter of game 5.

Siakam’s gonna get the MVP if they win, though, unless Tyrese goes nuts tomorrow.
This. Hali is the Pacers' system. I've seen a few people compare him to Steve Nash and it's an apt comparison.
But yeah, I can see Siakam winning it because of the counting stats, and he has been great all playoffs.
I see this said often, and I'm just not sure it is true. The Pacers offense to me looks more like anarchy than a system with a leader in place. He is less like the head of the snake in my eyes and more like the bull at the head of the stampede.
