Why feel bad for the franchise? They had so much success in this short period of time. Other franchise don't even make the playoffs for years.

I don't always do thread necromancy, but... well, here we are.

Presti is in fact a genius. The track record is irrefutable at this point.

If you take away the weird couple of Covid seasons, this is the craziest accomplishment and turnaround that we’ve seen in ages. Honestly it’s right up there regardless

Your better hope the lottery gods shine on you otherwise you could be looking at your 20's being what the Phoenix Suns experienced in the 10's. Good news is Presti won't be around much longer. After the losing seasons start to build up, OKC will realize what a fraud he was and how he destroyed not just a dynasty, but a franchise and will actually hire someone competent.

Okay this one got me.

Absolutely brilliant take.

Too young in 2010, lost to eventual champs, Lakers in first round.
Too young in 2011 (lost to veteran Mavs team in WCF, Mavs won the NBA Finals vs the Heat.
Still young, but now experienced and dominate, they choked in 2012 NBA Finals vs Miami.
Choked in 2016 vs GSW in the WCFs up 3-1.

But, TBF, they also had a lot of injuries, bad luck in the other seasons in between (2013-2015).

This season Thunder team is deeper than those Thunder teams in the past. Outlasted the Pacers (another deep team) in this years NBA Finals, 4-3. They got it done.

We're good, but thanks for your concern.

Also, zero And 1s on a troll thread is quite the accomplishment

In 2012 Scooter Brooks (not a championship level coach) kept playing Perkins against the Heat's smaller line up. Think to yourself what kind of championship coach puts slow footed Perkins against Bosh, Wade, and James?

Perkins was hit garbage and so was Scooter Brooks. Also Mike Miller went rain man from 3 one game and that was it.

I remember that! Kendrick Perkins was terrible in that series. The Heat were eating him up in the paint. Lot of ppl were questioning Coach Brooks doing that. Should have had Collison, Nazr, Cole Aldrich playing more at Center.
Yes, also Heat Mike Miller was hot in that series. Unstoppable from 3s.

Okc owners were too cheap and never should have let harden go.

If they kept Harden, they probably win a championship with that core the following year.

Brooks should have never played Perkins the way he did .they needed a different center for sure
