I just realized this is a good sign for the eastern conference in next year draft. Hopefully the top picks go east this time need more balance out here.

Can Murray come back before the starting of the regular season?

It’s crazy teams still make horrible decisions like this. How is there no system of checks and balances? Think of the level of competency teams can achieve just by not being idiots.

I often think of how I’d react if I owned an NBA team. If Dumars came to me with this trade how do I not fire him immediately? How could you ever trust his judgement if he’s willing to make a deal this bad?

Cause they're a bad franchise that's poorly operated.

Cause the owners are disassociated and don't care about basketball one way or another. It's just a business for them, as long as it turns a profit, that's more important than winning.

They should care, at least at some level. If this trade costs them a top 2 pick next year that could be a guy who ends up adding hundreds of millions of dollars in value to your franchise. Even if you don’t care put some former GM on the payroll as a consultant just for instances like this that might cost you millions and millions of dollars long term. It’s malpractice from a business sense even if you don’t care about basketball.

I'm wondering if we see another Mark Williams situation with this trade where the Pelicans do something to back out of it or something. Such a reckless trade. Even if they're super high on on Queen, I highly doubt they needed to send a completely unprotected pick to them to get this deal done.

I can't decide if Zion is more likely or less likely to play for the Pels after this deal

Risky? Yes. But it's really hard to call it yet until we see what kind of year Queen has and what the pick ends up as. If he turns out to be a very good player and the pick is 10 or later, the Pels come away with a win for themselves.

RIght with Bucks first seed in the East. Man, this trade is truly unbelievable. Imagine the pressure Queen has now.

It's frustrating that the Bulls were offered this deal and decided to pass on it.
