The new basketball shoes coming out today look ridiculous for anyone over 20. And almost every colorway has the color pallette of a SpongeBob episode. Just turrible

The new DBooks are the exception, but they just don't look like a basketball shoe to me

Yeah the shoes dont look that stylish and are pretty uncomfortable also. When did a zipper over the shoe laces become a thing? Sga new converse shoe is just a plain yellow basketball shoe with a zipper over the shoe laces.

Have you seen some of the collaborative efforts with Puma? Yeah. Talk about zany looking shoes.

And as the owner of two pairs of Book1's, I can say that I wouldn't be wearing them for hoop: Way too low cut for ankle support in my personal opinion. But as a guard, and someone who might like that extra flexibility, I could maybe see the allure. They do fit rather snugly in general but are low enough to still be relatively unrestricted for free ankle movement.

New dicks sporting goods opened up near me but their shoe selection isn't all that.

Cb 94 suns look great and the Lakers color uptempo look pretty comfortable. Meh at the Travis Scott's.

Shoe companies like Nike are raising prices again. Is it because of the tariffs or inflation? Who knows? Just gonna be another struggling year for them in the end.

Well, that depends on what you'd call your "own" shoe. Does she have her namesake attached to an existing shoe design? Yes. Does she have her very OWN shoe, designed in conjunction with her and based on her input? Not at this point, but she's supposedly been to Nike's campus to work with designers there on a future release.

I'm nearly 50 years old and still play, i wore PG's for a long time as they had simple colours, but i needed new shoes this year, and went with the Haloween Book1because they were basically the only plain black shoe i could find!

How are you liking the Book1's? I'm interested in the Decade colorway with the throwback Suns colors.

I love them, really good fit and easy on my knees. I tried the new KD's also, but hated them, the Book1 is very comftorable to play in.

I have two pairs: Sunset (all purple) and Cortez (throwback to the classic). They fit differently since they're different materials: Sunset is a canvas type material and the Cortez are leather. The formers fit tighter than the latter and I suspect the materials are why. Also, since they're Nike, I had to go up a half size.

I'd buy another pair or two but I don't need several pairs of $140 shoes that I'm not playing in and just wearing. But I won't lie and say that I might pull the trigger anyway even though my wife would be pissed about it. The Flagstaff (solid dark green) are cool and so are the new Denim blue ones. And if they ever release the Kentucky player editions... I'll pick them up for sure.
