However, what makes me feel like he's overrated is when he gets discusses as the greatest scorer of all time, when he may not even be the greatest scorer of this ERA.

What you always here "6'10, long wing span, can scorer from anywhere on the court. One of the most efficient scorers of all time."

All these true, which is exactly WHY he should have averaged 30 for a CAREER. Not just once in his career.

He's never done remotely close to what someone like MJ has done. Averaged 28/50% shooting as a rookie. 37 a game in his second full season. And his playoff averages are nuts too. MJ Averaged 30 for a CAREER. On 50% shooting.

I'm not about what you 'can' do. I'm about what you have done. And yes, KD 'could' have averaged 30 but why didn't he take more shots a LOT more shots if he's one of the most efficient to ever do so.

I think he's a debate between he and Lebron and it shouldn't be since Lebron was never known for just his scoring ability when you add in passing.

I'll still take MJ, Kareem and Wilt over KD for scoring. And I'd probably slot him in at 4th although maybe 5th with Lebron.

Breh youre using fg % and not true shooting percentage and that immediately tuned out half the audience reading this. Casual Timmy take.

Career 57% TS vs 62% TS (across an 18 year career as a near 7 footer).

So considering his ability to defy injury better than anyone we've ever seen, and considering he's the most naturally gifted scorer maybe ever, he's going to have the longest career in NBA history.

He'll still be scoring big at 45-years-old, and he'll never want to retire... because all he cares about is basketball.

People were writing off KDs career when he picked up that injury. How well he came back (for his size and age) is astounding.

Yup and still averaging 1.2 blocks per game !

He's still semi-mobile (which is impressive), and a billion feet tall, with excellent wingspan, which also helps, heh. Olajuwon, who was also 6'10/6'11, was still averaging 1.5 bpg as a 39 year-old in his last year (with Toronto) in 22.6 mpg. Timing, length, and KD spends more time as a 4 these days than he did in his youth, which also helps.

But yes, he's very impressive, and not just for his age. His main issue is just staying on the court. When he's present, he's still outstanding. Not as good as he was in his heyday but Father Time is undefeated, after all.

Well he's defeating father time now, played 62 and 75 games in his last 2 seasons, that's his best 2 season stretch since playing 68 and 78 in 2017-18 and 2018-19. Anyway, as long as he's healthy for the playoffs he can play another 10 years. The rules of aging don't apply to the rarest specimen. Plus he'll never turn his back on basketball if there's a chance he can still run up and down the court! Even his spare time is devoted to arguing with teenagers about basketball online :P
